La Cerrana Meat Shop & Steak House — Restaurant in Higüey

We were shopping for places to eat lunchner while we passed through Higuey on our way to Punta Cana and we thankfully found this place. It was a pleasant experience. Their ordering process is different. They have the meat, sausages, carbs and some vegetables in a freezer with the prices on as at the grocery store. You have to pick what you want from there, and then everything is grilled or fried. We had the place to ourselves when we first got there and we took our time to enjoy the decor after ordering. They have done a great job with decorating the place industrial meat shop style. We kept wondering if the owner went to Texas Tech since there was a lot of TT reference around, even on the apron of the meat workers portrayed in the wall art. That conversation kept us busy for a while while we waited for the food.The waitress that assisted with our order and served our food was very quiet and my partner even thought that she was rude because he didnt hear her say anything after he said thank you multiple times. She did say something in spanish but her voice was very low. Maybe she was new and just shy. She was not rude at all though and very helpful and diligent. They didn't really have many non alcoholic beverages but they had that lemon sangria punch that we loved. It was very good. Our food took a while to get to the table but when it finally did, we all agreed that it was worth the wait. One of us had a Wagyu steak that was cooked to perfection. The sausages were to kill for and the sides didn't disappoint either. Overall, we got everything that we needed when we picked that place: good food, good vibes and full bellies. And did I say that the prices were great too? We were pleasantly surprised...

Acabo de visitar la cerrana en higuey acompañado de mi esposa y otras dos parejas de amigos, al principio todo iba muy bien, elegimos nuestra cena y los vegetales para acompañarla. La caja estaba un poco lenta pero no importó, el problema empezo cuando tuvimos que esperar mas de una hora y media para que comenzara a llegar nuestra orden. La carne estaba seca, fria y para el colmo llegó sin los acompañantes!! Lo tomamos de una forma relajada y comimos carne con carne y esperando que al final llegaran los vegetales, nunca llegaron!! Y hasta salí y les pregunté a los cocineros, su respuesta fue que estaban arrollados!!! Que culpa tenemos mis amigos y yo de que estuvieran arrollados? Por eso tenia que comer carne seca y sin acompañantes? Si estaban arrollados significa que tienen clientela!! Pero si siguen dando el tipo de servicio que nos ofrecieron a nosotros... al final no se arrollaran y será porque nadie...
