My recent visit to Los Patrones left much to be desired. Despite its positive reputation, my experience was anything but satisfactory. The standout issue was the lack of freshness in the food. From the stale tortilla chips to the old chicken, nothing seemed to be prepared with care or attention to quality. Additionally, the presence of many flies was off-putting and raised concerns about cleanliness.
Adding to the disappointment, I was shocked to find bones in my birria tacos, a clear indication of oversight in food preparation. While the staff was friendly, the ambiance was marred by the presence of numerous homeless individuals, creating a less-than-ideal dining atmosphere.
What's most puzzling is the stark contrast between my experience and the many positive reviews. It's possible that the restaurant may have had an off-day or inconsistencies in their service and quality. Individual preferences and experiences also play a significant role. Read moreThis place has some of the best Mexican food I have eaten in a long time. The owner is very friendly and speaks fluent English. Not only did he help us to our table but, he also made sure we had a great meal. Personally I had two of the Burritos (one pollo and one Carne asada) while some of the other members of my party shared a platter of the mixed tacos which were delicious. While we were enjoying dinner the owner was kind enough to tell us about the area and refer us to a place we could buy some water in bulk. Overall the service was grand and I will most deffently be returning. If you are looking for some great food, don't hesitate...

The food was fantastic, had quesabirria tacos, and the 10 tacos to share, I told the owner to give us whatever he recommended on them, and he did not disappoint. From what I can tell, they were authentic Mexican tacos, from the toppings, home made corn shells, home made salsa's, and glass bottle coke that I can only assume is imported from Mexico.
Definitely worth the price, and I will be back to try more of the menu!
