TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND FOOD! The female owner shouldn’t be running this business.

First, we came to this place for a Dominican breakfast, which they didn’t have, although we saw pictures of this on their menu online. The menu doesn’t tell you all components of a dish, including something as simple as ketchup. My family ordered food which had ketchup on it, an ingredient two of my family members don’t like. When we told the owner about it and pointed out that it wasn’t listed on the menu, she responded by saying “that’s the way we make it”. She never offered an alternative, simply that this is how they make it and next time we should inform them of this. We can’t inform anyone of something that’s not explicitly stated on the menu or shared when ordered. At the very least, another option could’ve been offered. Our family couldn’t eat the food and left it behind.

The employee who had just come in was even worse and she reiterated that this is how they make the items and we’ll know for next time or we don’t need to come back. Idk what type of establishment treats their customers this way, especially when you’re the owner. She enabled the rudeness of her employee but I’m not surprised bc she was rude as well. The food wasn’t good, some items were undercooked and we were the only customers there, yet waited a long time for basic food.

First of all to start, the restaurant is nice. Lovely place. But I do have to start with the staff, they need to do more training. For example, the waitress needs to ask if you would like your beverage before food or with the food we waited the 20 minutes for our food as well for our drinks. Presentation of the food needs to be better. The Mofongo wasn't good the garlic sauce had no GARLIC WHATSOEVER!!! It was soupy and then the lettuce they put wasn't necessary. The filete de Mero had no seasoning and the sauteed potatoes were not sauteed and tasted BOXED. The waitress never came to check if the food or if me and my mother were in need of something else. Overall the restaurant was nice. But food they can do so much better. And while we were waiting for the food the employees were talking and yelling and talking about the other customers, and speaking their business. Some things are just meant to keep...

Dionys got to have the best prices anywhere. And the few times I've been there there have been 2 for 1 specials on food and drink. Tonight we paid under 1000 pesos for 4 meals, and 3 alcoholic drinks! Can't beat that! And the food and drink wasn't bad either. On top of all of that the service was good. Not just once, but ever time I've been there!

I'll be back of course. If you're in the area, you need to check this place out. It's a very local place, mostly Dominicans. No entertainment, but they play background music. And the volume is low enough that is very easy to talk and carry on a...
