Marisco Caribeño — Restaurant in Santiago de los Caballeros

The Sunday before last I had surf & turf.Grilled lobster & I substituted imported skirt steak.The decor was impressive I really wanted to love this place.As an appetizer I ordered the mini camarongo.It was perfection so much that I ordered another.I had frozen margaritas 1st one was very weak .Once I informed my waiter the rest were ok.My main course was brought out without my side dish which came 15 minutes later.Totally unacceptable but I still gave them the benefit of the doubt.The steak was nice size and tender.The lobster had an odd taste I thought maybe the grill.Wrong very wrong I had food poisoning from it and was extremely sick for 3 days after....

The Food was excellent, they have a great Chef!! However, their service is lacking. We ordered a few Appetizers, Fried Red Snapper and a Mofongo. We waited an hour and half for the food and when the food arrived, we did not receive what we ordered. The only item that we received from our order was the red snapper. They bought us skirt steak instead of mofongo and we were forced to have it or wait another hour and half. When the waiter returned during the middle of our meal, we ordered a bottle of water and never received it. Maybe this happens when the restaurant is busy, but hardly had...

I reserved a table for 20 people. The place was basically emptied. I requested them to allow me to bring a Johnny Walker Blue to toast for my girlfriend birthday, they wanted to charge $40 dollars extra. I stayed because I had already invited our friends over. Not eating here again, not because the $40 dollars extra, but because a matter of principle on $700+ USD dinner bill. On top of that, they brought out a single menu for alcoholic beverages for a table of 20+. Where is the class? These are 20+ people they will...
