Ok. I ordered a fillet of snapper, chillo is what it's called in Spanish. It was shown online pictures but not on current menu, they should add it so people know it's there. When asked how I wanted it by the manager I pointed to the salmon dish served with capers and a butter sauce he verbally confirmed with mashed potatoes. Fish arrived after a pretty long wait for a 2-top with mashed potatoes and horrible 😔 , it was terribly over cooked! I mean hammered like the cooks have no gourmet experience cooling a filet of white fish. Maybe ppl rarely order outside of salmon . It also was the tail cut of filet with the entire bloodline left intact. I'm an executive chef in miami Florida USA, if the want some classes I will do it for free, THEY NEED IT, the fish tasted fine but was hard u pleasantly hard, bad cut quality but presented well for being saucless and not served how I ordered it, the potatoes were delicious again the plate looked nice but I was thoroughly dissapointed with my snapper/chillo. My date had a delicious risotto de Mar carib , a risotto dish with half a langonstine like 3 shrimp and I think that was it. For the price I think they should put another peice of shrimp atleast or two scallops or something else. But it was delicious and risotto was perfectly cooked and mice presentation. Our drinks were great also. Nice ambience inside and out despite outside being a bit noisy because it's a dominican city and cars beep alot here. But outside is ok. If I ever go back I would sit inside where it is gorgeous. Waiter didn't ever return after we received the meal to check how we liked it, and I had to grab his attention for some napkins for my date one time. The manager was doing as good as he could I don't blame him for anything except my dish did not arrive the way that me and him discussed and pointed out on the menu. Remind your waiters to follow up 3 minutes after food delivery, and for God's sake talk to the chef to talk to his saute cook that destroyed my fish that night. It wouldn't hurt if the servers learned a few words in English but it's not a big deal don't take that wrong I do not think you should require them to know English to work there, it is a visitors job out of respect to learn a foreign language of a country they want to visit if they are not in...
Read moreMy fiancé and I choose to visit Santiago, Dominican Republic for our first babymoon vacation. I’ve mention to him how much I wanted to visit Noah Restaurant. We went ahead on our last night in the country to finally have dinner there. Upon arrival, we found a parking spot right across the street. As we are both getting out the car, a waiter right away crosses the street to check his car which was right behind us. My fiancé asked if everything was ok and he simply responded, “checking my car in case it was hit by you since I heard something when you parked.” We found that very rude and unprofessional since we are potential customers and our truck has back-up cameras and sensors. Truly, my mood went from wanting to eat here to let’s head down the block to have dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, “El Tablon”. But, since I really wanted to eat here, we went ahead and grabbed a table. We asked to eat inside because it was very hot and due to my pregnancy the heat makes me uncomfortable. We were denied entry due to his casual black shorts. Unfortunately, another inconvenience. Well, we gave it one last try and sat outside. As we glance through the menu we find that it’s a very common menu and their policy just didn’t make sense. At that point it was time for us to leave. None of the waitresses or waiter’s that were there doing absolutely nothing since the restaurant was empty didn’t even tried to accommodate us they just let us walk right off when it was obvious that we where not happy with the service. First and last time I’d ever visit this venue. I was expecting amazing service at one of the best known restaurants but I believe we came to the wrong place. We hope they don’t treat other patrons like...
