Lungomare Bar & Lounge — Restaurant in Santo Domingo

What a disappointment…review was good and staying close therefore decided to go for dinner tonight @ around 7:30PM). First, door guy did not greet nor held door open just stood there. Second, walk in and no one was there to greet, so just sat down (note only one table was occupied) and notice waiter was standing at back corner alone and was preoccupied, possible on his phone (who knows). Sat for almost 5+ minutes and finally came with menu and just hover at table while I look at the menu (how unprofessional). Third, ask for a drink menu and was told they don’t have one…really??? Realized, I might have interpreted him by walking in the restaurant, so decided to leave as they must be fully booked for tonight and resting their service team for the night. As least the musician waved when I walked out. So I don’t recommend this restaurant even if they are the only restaurant open due to extremely poor services. Too bad you can not...

O M G... I had very high end food here: perfect grilled octopus, properly prepared filet mignon with yucca puree with cheese, chicken cordon bleu, and more... Top notch view of sea AND some exciting nightlife activities... I'm actually still here and thought that this place needed a review right now while I'm here, that's how good it is! Nice bar and restaurant. Ordered the grilled salmon with fried Yuka and it was delicious. My friend ordered fried snapper, rice and beans with tostones and she enjoyed it a well. Waitress was very friendly. Food took some time but I assume that was due to the whole snapper. Would return next time I'm in...
