I went there with really high hopes and believe me it was nothing of what i was expecting. We arrived there with my friend and it took almost 15 minutes for us to get acknowledged by the staff. After getting our drinks (which were good not gonna lie) the staff brought food as they thought we were getting the tasting menu without even asking what we wanted. We decided to stay with the tasting menu because the food was already there, but believe me that it was a huge mistake. The menu was 7 courses. The first and second were good but the rest took almost 2 hours for us to get to the course number 5. At this point we had spent almost 2 hours and a half in the restaurant. We decided to take the rest to go as the atmosphere was not welcoming. The lights in the restaurant were bad, the music was almost mute as we could hear the staff talking and watching a football match in the kitchen. It is important to say that there were only two tables in the restaurant with two customers each so we couldn’t understand the lack of customer service. At the end after we got the check and pay we realized they charged us extra $25 claiming that the taxes needed to be added twice as we pay with two cards which is crazy. After giving them a math class about how they needed to charge a bill they refund us the $25. Without a doubt it is a place I would never recommend and that I would never go back. Hope you improve the service as it makes a huge difference in the...
Read moreWe found the place on the 50 best discovery list and got a table during our stopover in Quito. The funny part is that the restaurant is specialized in pork dishes and I don’t eat pork - so my partner didn’t realize this fact when he booked the table. the chef smiled at me when we told him and made a marvelous menu based on all kinds of fish and seafood for me while my partner had tasty looking pork specialties. A great dinner, nicely presented, all local ingredients, super tasty. The chef was at our table a couple of times checking if everything is all right. Thank you for having us Salnés! We had...
