Mahmya Beach — Restaurant in Al Hadaba

Once you ve been here, you always want to return. I remember on my last visit here, Last November, we were only 3 tourists that visited the island.🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ Ok, for me was perfect, as I am very selfish😉, i like the Island just for myself, but i can only imagine that for Tourism was not very good. The Tourism în egypt lost about 50 billions dollars Last year due to the "actual situation." The sand storms in Valais and the snow in Alexandria 3 weeks ago, made me miss Mahmya even more, and i felt i need to see Egypt Once again. That s why i ve booked 10 days in Hurghada, în my favorite hotel, Jaz Aquamarine. Thing is, as much as I like the hotel and its amneties and kind personal(it s my 4 th visit in this hotel, and my 8 th în Egypt ), during day time i need to be on Islands. That s why i ve booked Mahmya Beach(directly from their site, where the price is correct and fix(33 euro without Lunch, and 50 euro Lunch included:i advice you to take the second option), and 3 Times Orange bay. I Love Mahmya more, as it s more quiet, i really enjoy their music in The morning, i Love that the water is warmer during this period(egypt just got out from their winter, still the water is soup warm, i admit i really respect their personal, as they call me "Princess" (thank you, smile, smile), and I enjoy their food. Also, i find it the most Instagramable place in Hurghada so far. Another reason îs that i don t feel very comfortable în 'organized groups', i don t like the herd feeling, and their operators that tell me to do this, do that, don t Shop there as they don t get their 20 Percent profit, or make me feel like a money so that they make their Photos for the companies they work for. I always travel alone. It s nice to watch from outside every guide and every guest s reacțions depending from the countries they come from.I also speak 5 languages, so it s easy for me to understand... If i wish to, but normally i listen to music în my headsets, this way i can have my SILENCE. The way back was impressive both times:first, i got to see a rainbow on The sky, and second:dolphins showed up, seeing them made me so sad to part, i ve remembered the words "a water so blue, wish i could live there". But i cannot live în The water, nobody could so far. So, i ve enjoyed my hours on The island as much as I could. I felt like in an endless summer during winter(as you might know, i live at 1600 m in The Swiss MOUNTAINS-În Crans Montana ), which is heaven, but sometimes i really miss the sea. My trip to Hurghada was not so complicated, as you know Egypt is one of the few countries that asks only for a PCR test 72 hours before your departure, and not a Covid Passport, which i find salutary and i hope it stays this way!!The way back home in Switzerland was even easier, as my Covid test was made în hurghada, the costs are 30 dollars, and I found out that Easy Jet has a direct flight Hurghada - Geneva, which i booked without any hesitation, as connecting flights with Pegasus were soooo long, and I don t like losing one day of my vacation(i suffer of jet lag) I advise you to book Egypt during these hard Times, not only for its beauty, but also for the natural cures against deseases(you will find so many secrets în The Dahar that will keep you healthy - their teas, the black seed oil-famous for killing the Staphylococcus aureus, and for curling the cancer) , for the salted water, for the cheap gold, and for the sun, as we all need the...

It was supposed to be a pleasant afternoon, but I experienced something terrible here. I hope this will be helpful to tourists (if you must go, remember to pay in cash instead of using a card, as it is the safest option). I’m sharing my worst experience: When making the payment, I chose to use a stored-value card (not a credit card) and completed the transaction after entering my PIN; The staff told me the payment was unsuccessful and asked me to swipe again, so I paid for the second time; At that moment, I had already received notifications from my bank that both payments had been successful. I showed the deduction records to the staff, but they told me to trust them, saying the money would be refunded to my card in a few hours, even though their system showed no record; They then asked me to pay a third time, this time in cash. I made the third payment and only then was I allowed to leave; The next day, which is today, I still haven’t received the refund. When I went to the restaurant, they printed out the transactions from yesterday, claiming they hadn’t received them, and told me to call my own country’s bank, insisting their machine was not at fault. Booked through their website and it was easy. Arrived to the beach on time and we were given a small water bottle each and you can buy a coffee from the bar there and it was a very good one as well (barista not quick coffee). The boat was very good, well maintained and not over loaded with customers like some boats. Arrived to the beach at 11:30 am and we were greeted by a staff member and given a lovely shady spot, clean towels given to us. Had couple of lemon mint drinks(as it was Ramadan and no alcohol to be served..makes sense!) But out of Ramadan you can order alcohol. Ordered sea food tageen, greek salad and brown rice to be served at 1 pm. At 1 pm they served food at our place. The food was SUPER delish and cooked to perfection! Talking about service..perfect service .. they are friendly and knows how to give customers their own space, but they are always near by if you need anything. The view is absolutely magnificent, toilets are clean and the water is exquisite. Music is not loud and chill vibe. Worth every penny and one of the spots that I will visit again in the future.
