Stayed here for a week in the beginning of July and had great experience. You can really feel that care for the client is the priority here. The staff is always very polite and positive.
• Room The hotel has a small amount of Regular rooms facing the road (with french balcony), all the others are Sea View (with normal balcony). I recommend picking the second one. Also now the rooms are slowly one by one getting renovated, so you also can have either new room or old. The new ones have walk in showers and fresh light interior. But the shower unfortunately does not have any type of door or glass wall it's all just one open room, so the water unavailably gets everywhere. You have a closed with a safe, a TV, coffee and tea tray, and very soft beds. The AC placement is very good, it doesn't blow right at you when you're in bed, and it works very quietly. There are mosquitos at night if you open the window, but not much. when we fist arrived the were a scent of fresh paint in the hallway that troubled us, but it went away. But for last two days of our trip the construction smells was present in room and the vent also was not working properly and was brining cigarette smoke smell or sewage smell. I suppose we were lucky at least the first part of our trip there wasn't any room renovated right next to us. The room key and wifi stopped working several times and i had to get it fixed at reception.
• Dining There is 3 areas in main restaurant- one inside, one non smoking at the terrace with roof and fans and smoking area near the pool. Breakfast has always the same menu and luch and dinner have different menus for a week. A big variety of dishes you can choose from. The only problem is that it's kind of hard to reach the last bowls if you're short and don't have long arms. During breakfast fresh orange juice is served. Waiters are always present and you can ask anything, waiter Ibrahim at the terrace is the best, always nice and welcoming, was always making meals better. There are also restaurants à la carte, you can register for them at the reception and a beach restaurant that is free from 12 to 17 and paid at the evening.
• Beach The beach is very close, you just step out of the hotel and you are there, wich is nice. This unusual lagoon is actually very nice, i was sceptical of it before i was it. It is really deep for the most part, even during low tide, you step in the water right away from the beach and don't have to walk for long time by some ponton like at every other hotel in Hurgada. The bottom of it is sandy so you don't have to bring any watershoes! There's many sunbeds with umbrellas and little fences at the beach and this bridge thing separating the lagoon from the sea. The staff at the beach is super helpful! Sir Ibrahim is always there to help you find a place, change place of the sunbed or the fence and help in any other way! I was surprised by this level of care and service. From around 10 am waiters are offering everyone at beach bottlles of cold water, cocktails/mocktails and snacks before you even think about asking for it, my thanks to Hesham.
• Animation Marvi Koky Sonic and all the others from the team of animators are always out and about engaging with guests at different games of activities, you don't fell bored at all here. During the day there's always some kind of yoga, aqua aerobics or stretching, volleyball, darts, dance lessons etc. Super funny and light people. At the evening the show starts by the pool at 8 pm there's always a live signer invited, everyday is different lady. at around 9:30 the main program begins, wich could be dance shows, belly dance, tanoura and others. The shows are really cool and interesting. You can watch them from any seat by the pool or even at the sunbeds there. Waiters at evening are also present brining you everything you want, Fady was always making sure our evening is nice and smooth.
In conclusion i was very satisfied with my stay here and recommend it. The obly problem is renovation of rooms nest door if get a...
Read moreWe stayed here for 12 nights 24th june-6th July |First time in Egypt so first time staying at a sunrise hotel. Upon arrival staff were instantly friendly. We had booked a junior suite with city view. We arrived late so we're tired. We didn't realise how loud the city view would be so didn't sleep the first night. The following day we bought earlier plugs, but unfortunately had lots of issues from the room, flooding, lights not working and room card not working one day & having to spend the best part of 2 hours to and from reception getting cards and having to go up and down etc. After several talks with reception nothing was done and we felt a bit disheartened, until the lovely 2 female members of staff, Valeriia and Svetlana ( acknowledged my unhappy facebook post I put up - they promptly upgraded us to an absolute belter of a room. Seat view - we were made up and felt we could restart our holiday fully. The room was amazing and they eventually went above and beyond! Air con brilliant. Bed comfy. ||The grounds, views and hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. So scenic and stunning. Spacious, chilled and clean. ||Food & drink |We found the food of great standard. The Buffett was varied, and lots of themed nights. All food was piping hot and fresh. The puddings were lovely too. We tried the a la cartes and the were outstanding. The beach snack bar is fantastic. We had no complaints about the food, we did however eat our 4 times but that's just because we like to do that even if all inclusive for a long period. We don't drink alcohol so can't comment on any of those beverages but the watermelon and pineapple slush round the pool were so refreshing, soft drinks & bottles water always lovely and cold. Hesham from the sports bar was so friendly and helpful. Remembered our orders all the time & went out of his way of make non alcoholic drinks for us. He's such a hard worker. The lady who works on the nasaya bar too ( can't remember name, I think seems) was brilliant too. Always has a smile on her face. Drink service on the beach was ok, some days better than others. ||Entertainment - we are early risers and go to bed early so can't comment too much on the entertainment, but it seemed fairly good and chilled. This isn't a party hotel but they had stuff going on - fruit festival in the day good fun. ||The lifeguards on the beach work so hard - Ahmed was especially brilliant. So friendly, always smiling and went out of his way to talk to us. Made us feel comfortable & checked in on us often. He made our holiday round the lagoon! ||The pool, the lagoon and beach is beautiful. Can always get a sunbed anytime of day. No mad rush. The 2 men who start work 7am mopping and cleaning round the pool are so hard working and caring. Again I can't remember their names, but they are a credit to your hotel. Long days in that heat - hats off to them. ||Pretty much all the staff are friendly and always say hello. I did however find the taxi service man in reception rude, arrogant and patronizing. A little pushy. The prices kept changing despite it saying 3 euro to marina and back. We were running low on money and I could only pay card. He said there's a fee and I just politely asked how much and he said, it's only a few pounds, you are in a 5 star hotel I'm sure a few doesn't matter. I did feel he was rude. ||Had a red flag up each day on the beach so didn't get pestered - but I do understand people need to make a living so still always said hello to be polite. ||The guards on the door were also so friendly and kind. Helped me cross the road to get to the bank. Gardeners work hard too. ||My only criticisms would be |- it would be nice to have fresh water bottles on the beach to access |-lifts are slow and not that many of them |- manager in the gift shop in lobby is so rude and miserable |The chairs round the pool area where you can also have your dinner are so uncomfortable and dated ||Apart from that an absolutely lovely break!
