First of all a big well deserved shoutout/thankyou to the ober called mr.Abdullah. He is what you would describe as the perfect ober/service employee. 6 of 5 stars for you my friend🤝
Grenada restaurant very highly recommended. Must visit place in Hurghada to eat/get drinks and relax.
I’ve been in Hurghada 11 days and I have visited many restaurants/cafes. I waited to write this review until the last day I’d be here so I could truly say this is the best place I’ve visited. I’ve been to marina, starfish, carribean bar and many more famous places in Hurghada, but Granada restaurant was overall the best place. The food was excellent cooked and of very good quality. The vibe and the atmosphere was amazing. At Granada restaurant you can get some peace and truly relax. They made it beautiful and also thought about a lot of details in the decorating of the restaurant. They play music that suits the atmosphere and make you feel relaxed. About the service; It’s a big 5 stars. They’re very professional. From calling the restaurant to arriving there and accompany you to a place to sit. Ofcourse you may also choose yourself, but they put me in the best spot they had. They don’t make you wait for minutes like some places do, but immediately bring you the menu. To make this clear they’re not trying to be pushing you in anything which i also value a lot. They ask you once and tell you if you need more time they will come to you when you’ve decided. They make sure you are not waiting for them by always keeping an eye out. The employees are kind, helpful and treat you with much respect. They treated me like this and I also saw how they behave with other customers which was the same as with me. I don’t know if they all speak english, but this is understandable if that’s the case. The few I spoke can speak english and you can easily communicate with them. The serving of the food was very nice and had some kind of experience with it which I liked a lot. I would strongly advise the beef fajita.
By the way it’s also a very nice place to go with your girlfriend/wife or as a group to get some drinks, relax and have a good time.
Now i want to give a special thank you to mr. Abdullah. He served my food the first time I came to Grenada restaurant and the second time I came with a friend of mine. He’s a example of how employees in high quality restaurants in Egypt should operate. He was outstanding in a way that surprised me that there are people like him. He was very helpful, kind, respectful, not pushy, well behaved. I’ve come to egypt my all life and I know when people in restaurants or other places behave in a way that is not real or there words doesn’t match their true intention, especially when you are a toerist or a foreigner. That’s why i want to specially thank Abdullah for his service at Grenada restaurant plus also a shoutout to Grenada restaurant itself. Abdullah I wish you all the good and many blessings. The next time I come to Hurghada I will definitely visit Grenada restaurant again. I hope to see you again and if not I hope it be out of good...

I would like to share a deeply disappointing and outrageous experience I had at Granada Restaurant in Hurghada in May 2025.
I dined there peacefully with loved ones, and the final bill presented to us was around €80, which matched our consumption, confirmed by my memory and photos taken during the evening. A few days later, while checking my banking app, I was shocked to discover that the restaurant had in fact charged me over €120, a difference of more than €40, without any explanation.
I immediately contacted the restaurant by email and provided: The exact amount charged, The precise date of the transaction, A screenshot of the bank payment, clearly showing the name of the establishment.
This is more than enough for any serious professional to locate a transaction in their system.
The response I received was a complete insult to common sense: they asked me for absurd additional information, like a paper receipt or a detailed order, while acknowledging that they had received my initial email. After several polite but firm follow-ups, they simply claimed they were unable to locate the bill because I had contacted them “20 days later”. This answer is not only dishonest – it is blatantly disrespectful and unworthy of any reputable establishment.
As a restaurant owner myself, I know very well that a bank transaction is easily traceable in any standard POS system. Their refusal to cooperate suggests either a complete lack of professionalism or a clear intent to take advantage of foreign tourists without any accountability.
I denounce what I believe to be a case of plain fraud, combined with a shocking disregard for the customer.
I have initiated a formal bank dispute procedure to recover the excess amount, but I feel compelled to warn other travelers: Always double-check your bill. Do not trust establishments blindly, even those with good reviews. And above all, avoid this restaurant if you want to avoid being scammed like I was.
Thank God, I have traveled extensively in my life, but I’ve never seen a city where tourists get scammed as much as they do here. It’s outright theft. I will never set foot there again, and that’s actually a real shame, because it’s a beautiful city. Unfortunately, the locals have turned Hurghada into a kind of jungle where tourists are treated like walking...

On this occasion our choice in Hurghada was to go to Granada. Our friends were over from the UK on holiday and we were sure that they would appreciate the stunning view from the terrace.
This restaurant is located on Old Sheraton Street on a hill with uninterrupted views over the Red Sea. You couldn't pick a nicer place for the view in my opinion.
There is an enclosed air-conditioned dining area, but why would you want to sit in there when you could choose the terrace with comfortable sofas? OK, the tables are quite low to be eating at, but when you get to enjoy your meal with these stunning views you can't complain.
It's not my first time to eat here. In the past I've not really been impressed with the food especially at the price you pay as its not cheap here. They also sell imported alcohol, so a real Tia Maria and Coke went down really well, I considered it a treat.
Since our last visit the menu has been changed. There is still a massive selection but it's more up to date.
We thought the food was good and the portion was more than enough. There was just one thing that we couldn't unders6, although the food was good, it was all sweet. The chicken and beef Fajita had a sweet after taste to it and so did the Chicken & Veal Schnitzel. I think the chef maybe should taste what is being served. It wasn't bad but it had an interesting taste that was not really our cup of tea.
Another interesting choice was the sides for the Schnitzel. They were served with tomato Spaghetti (the tomato sauce was sweet) and a baked potato. We asked if we could change the Spaghetti and Baked potato to French fries and vegetables, but we were told we couldn't which was a shame, especially for the price paid. Carbs on top of carbs makes it a very difficult and heavy meal to eat.
The Shrimp spring rolls were lovely.
We did enjoy our meal here, and we will be back. Its a lovely place to meet...
