Makani – A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Nubia Nestled in the charming Nubian village, Makani is more than just a coffee shop—it’s an experience. From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality, a cozy ambiance, and breathtaking views of the Nile. The menu offers a delightful selection of coffee, fresh juices, and traditional Nubian treats, all made with high-quality ingredients. Whether you’re looking to enjoy a quiet morning coffee or a relaxed evening with friends, Makani provides the perfect setting. The decor reflects the rich culture of Nubia, blending earthy tones with handmade details that create a serene and inviting atmosphere. The outdoor seating is a must-try, offering a peaceful escape where you can soak in the beauty of the surroundings. If you’re in the area, Makani is definitely worth a visit. Great drinks, a welcoming vibe, and a touch of Nubian charm

I had the yogurt mango drink and it was delicious! Perfect light lunch during a warm day. My friends had the mango juice, the "rocket", and we shared a generous slice of chocolate cake. The cake had a very rich chocolate glaze. There is a set of outside stairs on the left side of the building. These lead to the rooftop terrace. The view of the Nile here is spectacular and there are 4 tables. There is a covered roof for shade. I marked down my score by one star as the flies were terrible until we moved to the one table which had a cross breeze. This kept the flies away.

Makani is the best place for coffee, Italian ice cream and amazing juices …. It’s the coolest place in town .. you can watch the Nile With A/C the staff are very professional and friendly. I go there so often they now won’t let me pay … It’s home to home relaxed and the staff really take care of you .. they specialise in Nandi chicken style .. but also they do vegan/ vegetarian options .. did I mention The chocolate fudge cake. What can I say don’t miss out on the Makani vibe… lots of young locals, chilling drinking coffee and relaxing .. opens until around 3am… for those hot days come at night .. always a...
