We came to try out a new place looking for nice dessert to have. As soon as we sat down and were ready to order, the waiter made sure to explain to us that we misunderstood how we cannot only have dessert and a drink, we should eat before the drink can even come on the table. With a terribly pretentious attitude, he stood there and explained how they are a restaurant, below them is a cafe and next to them is a dessert place, and laughed. Honestly, he could have dealt with this in a better and nicer way, like maybe since the place is empty he could of informed us that it is a resturaunt not a cafe so it's not a problem this time around but usually a meal needs to be ordered. Instead of attempting and failing to 'kindly' deny us service.
Side note: if the management of Bistro Paris feels such a strong need to stress that it is some prestigious resturaunt, maybe don't make it resemble the look and feel of an actual euro style cafe where people can come have a drink and a pastry, and instead make it look like a real...

One of the waiters, bald, heavily built, made my friend and me extremely uncomfortable. He kept staring at us the entire time, to the point where it felt invasive and inappropriate. It honestly felt like being watched by a bouncer, not served by a professional in hospitality.
We couldn’t relax, chat freely, or enjoy the evening because of his constant, unsettling presence. I don’t know his name, but he gave off a vibe that made it feel like we were being monitored rather than welcomed. This is the kind of staff you’d expect at a car repair shop, not a restaurant trying to offer a Parisian dining experience.
Based on this experience, I do not recommend Bistro Paris. There are plenty of other places in Maadi where you can enjoy a meal without feeling watched or judged. Customer comfort should be a priority, and clearly,...
Read moreArrived at the place and the whole table was dirty and dusty, so we had to ask for it to be cleaned. First of all, we ordered the french onion soup, which was terrible. It had the weirdest smell and aftertaste. We then got the cordon bleu -- which was a huge mistake. It was obvious that it was not fresh and quickly reheated. It had an aftertaste as if it had been sitting in the fridge for a while, so we gave it back and got the burger instead. Quite honestly, I'm not sure if this is how the food usually tastes bcz the place was packed yet nothing came out good. The burger was the star of this horrendous show, because it was even more horrendous than anything we ordered. It had the aftertaste of ruined meat, like genuinely tasted like the meat had something wrong with it. The chicken tenders were fire tho, and the steak de paris was good but nothing special. All in all...
