Carpaccio Nilelounge — Restaurant in Cairo

We found this restaurant right on the Nile while looking for a place where the kids could have pancakes for breakfast. The view of the Nile was nice, but the river itself was unfortunately dirty, with some trash floating in the water. Despite this, the spot by the river felt peaceful.

We ordered a variety of food: a big sandwich, Oreo pancakes for the kids, and an omelet with Portobello mushrooms. The food was delicious, and the portions were really generous. The kids loved their pancakes, and the omelet tasted great.

Overall, it was a nice experience, and we left feeling full and happy. If they paid a little more attention to details like clean napkins and keeping the view tidy, it would make it even better. Still, we enjoyed our breakfast by the Nile and would...

Actually the 2 stars are for the waiters and the Nile view .. but regarding anything else this cafe is the worst place to dine in at all .. the worst disgusting food ever .. chicken tasted horrible not cooked at all , rice was disgusting cold uncooked with no taste at all, plus it tastes like if it's​ cooked a week ago and they keep heating it again , we had another order with chicken and it tastes the same bad !! .. a hamburger sandwich was quite accepted , drinks like cappuccino hot chocolate and tea are acceptable .. over all the place doesn't deserve that prices compared to the food and drinks served !! The place itself is good with multiple choices despite the cafe / restaurant or whatever it is called named "Halawa w zahtr - حلاوة و زعتر" which i am giving it a one star not the place, is one of the worst places i have ever been to, the people working there are unprofessional and very rude, the prices are overrated for me as a local, they try to deceive foreigners by making them pay more money (be aware), the food is disgusting i tried multiple categories BUT THEY ALL SUCK, the worst thing was their Cesar salad the dish consist of 50 tons of mayo + lettuce + 2 bread crumbs + CANNED ANCHOA like who puts canned seafood on mayo.
