The scene goes as following: I just finished my baby brother's dentist appointment and he asked "can we eat at a restaurant please?" and as a great older sister I could've never said no. But we couldn't decide so my genius sister said "how about chinese?" and there you go the million dollar idea. Who could possibly say no to c0hinese? But thing was, I knew nothing about the area let alone restaurant. so I had to do a deep search on Google maps to find this fabulous chinese restaurant. It was a 15 minutes walk and rather enjoyable. My sister had some suspicious but I had a great feeling about. It was carefully hidden in the streets of mohandessin you'd miss it if you're not paying attention but it had also a chinese architecture. When we first entered we were warmly welcomed by the staff and seated on a nice table. And they had this fabulous not-available-anymore option which was paper menus and that's when I knew we're in good hands. While the prices were a bit high, the taste didn't disappoint whatsoever. It was packed with chinese spices I had to eat it slowly to figure out each spice and flavour. The sizzling chicken was definitely an exprience you have at a restaurant like this. And while they were a linguini shaped noodles (which are not really on my top 5 pastas) they had a great flavour to them and the vegetables added a lot of taste to it. The dumplings were absolutely delicious and the sauce was just fabulous. Nonetheless, I think I'll have the fried one next time. The staff were super friendly and rather helpful and the restaurant itself had a great vibe to it. Definitely a great food experience and will come...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Peking restaurant in Aldokki, Cairo and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The service provided by Mr. Shawki and his team was nothing short of brilliant.
Upon entering the restaurant, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated. Mr. Shawki personally attended to our table, ensuring that we were comfortable and had everything we needed throughout our meal. His attentiveness and friendly demeanor truly enhanced our dining experience.
Now let's talk about the food - it was simply amazing. We ordered the fish sishwan, beef BBQ, and brookly mushroom and ginger dishe. Each dish was bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. The fish sishwan had a perfect balance of spices, while the beef BBQ was tender and juicy. The brookly mushroom and ginger dish had a delightful combination of textures that left us wanting more.
One aspect that pleasantly surprised us was the affordability of the prices at Peking restaurant. Despite offering such high-quality food and excellent service, the prices were reasonable and definitely worth the value.
Overall, I highly recommend Peking restaurant in Aldokki, Cairo. The service led by Mr. Shawki was outstanding, making us feel like valued guests throughout our visit. The food surpassed our expectations with its incredible flavors, leaving us satisfied and impressed. And with affordable prices, dining at Peking is truly a...
Read moreThe taste was not as Chinese standard. My tour agency order the meals for us which I highly expecting the taste. The environment is so full of smoke. Hot and Sour soup is very thick from flour and it contains cabbage which is not supposed to be in this kind of soup. Salt and pepper veggies is too salty but still okay if eating with other plain meal. Stir-fried noodle. This is plain enough to eat with Salt and pepper veggies. Stir-fried cabbage has no taste at all. Stir-fried cabbage with fish - the fish is very salty. Sweet and sour chicken - full flavour of tomato sauce. But Peking dish is not like this. Rice is so tough. It's like uncooked rice. All Stir-fried meals are too much thick from flour.
What I think is okay to eat are Stir-fried beef with black bean (If what I guess is correct) Stir-fried green pepper with squid.
I also don't know who manage the menu of this meal. So they come up with a lot of stir-fried dish, and the restaurant did not recommend the appropriate meal. There are a lot...
