The service at the hotel needs serious changes. We travel a lot and have something to compare it to. The reception and bar staff are rude, and it is obvious that they work a lot for little money, which makes their work lack enthusiasm. Upon arrival, we were not given any information about the hotel or events, and they didn’t even offer us hotel maps (later we found out they were readily available at the reception). As the manager told us: "These are your problems, you should have asked. And we have one of the best hotels, and we know it." We were deceived at the spa. The staff doesn’t know the basic rules of conduct during a massage: they talk during the process and may even ask to go to the bathroom. We contacted the administrator several times and asked for a refund since we had 20 sessions, but we were promised that everything would be fixed, and yet the situation remained unchanged. The hot water in the shower disappeared in the evenings. We called the reception twice, and a repairman came and did something, but the next day the water disappeared again. After talking with other guests, we realized that this was a problem for everyone, so we stopped calling, as it seemed pointless. Sometimes the beer and hot water for tea ran out, and lemons were always in short supply at the bar, even though there were plenty of them in the canteen. You could only use the slides with the permission of an employee, and since there was only one employee for each of the three slides, you had to stand in line, wet and in the wind, waiting. On the positive side, I can mention the work of the restaurants: a variety of dishes and good service from the staff, as well as the huge and beautiful hotel grounds. The rooms are a little outdated, but this is not critical. The room keys were constantly malfunctioning. On the last day, we asked to stay in the room for 5 hours, but we were only allowed 3, and immediately after that, our room keys were blocked, and we had to go sort it out. Overall, this hotel is not worth the money we paid. Aside from the name (which seems to have lost its former glory), the large grounds, and the restaurant, I can't think of anything positive.

The hotel was very clean, we did have a few problems; no rooms in the same building when we first arrived, no one came to move our belongings to the new rooms when we were told 5 minutes. Our key cards kept refusing to open our doors and the water went off a couple of times. The house keeping staff kept bothering us to ask “everything ok?” obviously wanting a tip everyday (we prefer to leave a larger tip at the end of our stay, they did stop once we explained what we were going to do) and the entertainment staff, Spa staff and excursion team were relentless at bothering you by the pool. Some people might enjoy this but others really would prefer to say “no thank you” once and then be left alone! On the plus side; the whole hotel was immaculately clean, the staff were brilliant with this. The whole hotel staff were extremely polite and friendly and they all wanted to help. For being full, it was still easy to get a sun bed and we were impressed with how small queues were for the many slides. Our teenage daughters (and ourselves) thoroughly enjoyed the slides.! The food was ok but just the same every meal time. We had no tummy trouble; we were very sure to only use bottled water which there was plenty supplied to your room. You could get alcoholic drinks all day (if you wanted) which was nice. There didn’t seem to be many English people there and most of the evening entertainment wasn’t “yelled” out in English. The fire show was good but the other nights were much of the same. I know I’ve moaned but I wanted to leave an honest review. Overall we did have a really nice time and this is a great hotel for families. There are pools and slides for all ages. We would have just preferred to be left alone and to join in if we wanted to.

A beautiful village, there is everything. The lawn and flower beds are well cared, the staff is kind and helpful, the food is also good, only very repetitive, I would have appreciated more choice for us Italians. Reception staff explained little on arrival, I would have liked more information, as it’s such a big village. The pools are great, there are so many that you don't know where to go! My baby was excited. Also many play grounds. A paradise for children! What is missing in my opinion is a large well-equipped indoor area of children's games when it's too windy and they don't swim in the pool or for the evening. I didn't like the evening shows, they don't entertain the guests, they are very simple and repetitive. In fact, there were always few people. We preferred to go out to see Naama Bay or Soho Square centres. This can be improved in my opinion. Finally, what I really have to point out is the dangerousness of the floors throughout the village. They are too smooth, with flip flops you risk falling every day! Especially outside the pools, you can't use floors like that! My son of 3 years old fell at least 10 times luckily without getting hurt, I fell once and hit my head, I saw so many other people fall! It is not possible to risk like this every day when you are in holiday. It's a really perfect village, too bad for these floors that put you at risk of falling every day. With some improvement it would really be the best village in Sharm.

🌟🌟🌟🌟|We stayed at Pickalbatros in Sharm El Sheikh from 31st August to 14th September 2025. As we arrived on a late-night flight, our first full day was 1st September, and from the moment we woke up, we knew we were in for a special holiday.||The hotel is absolutely stunning, but what truly made our stay unforgettable was the incredible animation team. From the very beginning, they brought so much energy, positivity, and fun into every single day. Melissa’s stretching sessions were a fantastic way to ease into the morning. Paolo’s belly dancing classes were full of laughter and a real joy to take part in. Marco’s Zumba sessions were brilliant, and his performance at the White Party was one of the major highlights of our stay. Saeed’s boundless energy and his unforgettable “ooh ooh” kept everyone smiling from morning to night. David was also wonderful, always making time to chat, laugh, and ensure we felt welcomed and part of everything going on.||Each member of the team made us feel truly included and created such a lively and inclusive atmosphere. Their connection with guests felt so genuine, and they are a real credit to the hotel.||We also had the pleasure of meeting some amazing fellow guests and are already planning to stay in touch, not just with them but also with some of the animation team. These connections added so much warmth and made the experience feel even more personal and memorable.||We’re incredibly grateful to the guest relations lady, who was so helpful and attentive when we had some initial issues with our room. Her kindness and professionalism made a real difference and turned what could have been a stressful situation into a smooth and reassuring experience.||A special thank you also goes to our cleaner, Ahmed, who did a fantastic job every day. He was so artistic and creative with the towel arrangements, often crafting beautiful swans and other designs that brought a smile to our faces every time we walked into the room. His attention to detail and warm attitude added something truly special to our stay.||The wider hotel staff and management were consistently friendly, professional, and helpful throughout. Although we had a small issue with the room and shower on our first day, the way it was handled was excellent and showed how committed the team is to guest satisfaction.||One area we feel could be improved relates to the leadership presence within the animation team. Throughout our stay, we noticed that the Chief of Animation was not particularly visible or engaged with guests or the team in an active way. Unlike our experiences at other resorts, where the Chief often took on a more hands-on role—joining in activities, motivating the team, interacting with guests during the day and evening, and helping set the tone—this wasn’t the case here.||In other hotels, the Chief has been a dynamic presence who not only supports the team from behind the scenes but also steps forward to lead by example. Whether it’s participating in events, welcoming guests personally, or simply being present during shows and activities, this kind of visible leadership tends to lift the whole atmosphere and create a stronger sense of connection. It also shows solidarity with the team, boosts morale, and can elevate the guest experience from great to exceptional.||The animation team at Pickalbatros is so talented, enthusiastic, and dedicated that stronger, more engaged leadership would only enhance what is already a fantastic offering. The DJ also felt quite separate from the guest experience and could have brought a lot more energy and engagement by interacting with the crowd or adding a more personal touch during events.||As someone in a leadership role myself, I believe the most effective leaders are those who stay involved, uplift their teams, and contribute visibly to the overall energy and success of the group. This would be a great opportunity for the hotel to align its leadership style with the incredible standards already set by the frontline team.||Overall, this was a holiday full of joy, laughter, and lasting memories. The exceptional animation team, the friendly guests we met, and the thoughtful service from the hotel staff all came together to make this trip truly special. We’re so grateful for the experience and already looking forward...

We recently stayed at the Aqua Blu Hotel and had an overall pleasant experience. The hotel boasts an enormous, beautifully maintained territory with plenty of activities for children, making it an excellent choice for families. The food was delicious, with a wide variety of options, although there were occasional shortages of white wine and beer in the water park, which caused minor inconveniences. Nonetheless, the quality of the food and the service provided by the staff were excellent.

However, there were two significant issues that negatively impacted our stay.

Firstly, one of the main reasons we chose this hotel was to celebrate Christmas and New Year, as our package, which was quite expensive, explicitly included both celebrations. When we arrived at the hotel at 7 PM on December 24th, none of the reception staff informed us about the Christmas celebration, which was held in a separate tent on the grounds of a neighboring hotel. As a result, we completely missed the event despite it being included in the price we paid. This lack of communication was deeply disappointing, especially since we were unaware of what we were entitled to.

Secondly, as Orthodox Christians, we were also looking forward to celebrating Orthodox Christmas on January 6th. However, when we tried to book for this celebration, we were told it wasn’t possible because we had traveled from England. This was particularly frustrating because we had already missed the Catholic Christmas celebration on December 24th due to the hotel's poor communication. We requested flexibility, given the circumstances, but were denied. This rigidity and lack of understanding greatly marred our holiday experience.

Additionally, we traveled with friends who stayed in a neighboring hotel in the same resort chain. They were initially told they could visit our hotel and use its restaurants freely. However, on several occasions, they were denied entry, and it required arguments with staff to resolve the issue. This inconsistency was frustrating and made it difficult to enjoy time together.

While the hotel itself offers excellent facilities, great food, and a family-friendly environment, these organizational issues—poor communication about the included holiday events and inconsistent guest access policies—detracted from our overall experience. We hope management takes steps to address these concerns to ensure a smoother experience for...
