Shark Bites - Millennium Plaza — Restaurant in San Salvador

My wife and I are here from Panama visiting El Salvador for a friends wedding. We are staying next to the plaza Presidente and decided to go to SharkBites for dinner. With a catchy name and good looking building and excellent location, one would expect the food to be the same. I ordered the Captains burger with fondue style mozzarella cheese-topped with shrimp. The cheese on the burger was unbearable to eat. It was as if the cook minced cilantro drenched in butter garlic and added it to the fondue cheese. The coconut shrimp were overcooked so instead of a golden brown, they were dark brown, nearly black. The onion rings were not bad. But last night, the experience was even worse. My wife and I both got sick to our stomachs as if we got food poisoning. We should have followed our guts and went somewhere else because at 7pm the entire building was empty as if nobody wanted to eat there because they previously had bad experiences.. I don’t know but 1/5 stars....

So pulled up to this place with pretty high expectations as my cousins had been raving about it. I will say it definitely lived up to the hype, BUT it could be even better in my opinion. I got the mar and Tierra burrito and the shrimp loaded fries. The burrito was really good, and the fries were as expected as well, just a bit too garlicky for my taste. One of the best seafood places out there, I have always loved it as it's always tasty and on a reasonable price points, they have quite a good selection for seafood dishes and beverages. Service here was rather quick and we didn't had to wait too much to get our food and the staff was quite friendly, always checking to see if everything was well.
