Second visit (5 stars): 2 days later we went back and that experience was totally different. Food was really good and delicious. I took pork dumplings (really good!), others from the group took daily specials and chicken noodles - everyone enjoyed their meal. Service was friendly and superfast (20 minutes after arriving we had already finished eating). Big thanks to the owner for inviting us back there and offering a pleasant experience. I'm pretty sure we will go there for lunch again.
First visit (then I gave 2 stars): Went there for lunch and we ordered only daily specials (6 chicken, 1 fish). While waiting, it turned out they don't have enough chicken (it would be nice to know your inventory), so one of us took the beef daily. Okey, that wasn't that bad... But the food took long and wasn't a taste experience either (quite dull and dry). Some of us were already finished when others got their food. And the entire time the staff looked quite confused. It seemed there was a language barrier between the chef and the waitress and they also had some kind of a table number system, but still they were running around with ready dishes trying to figure out who ordered what. Sry, but not a good place for daily specials/lunch. But the staff was friendly and the place was clean and nice. Update: plus points for the owners for a quick reply here and a personal reply as well. It shows that they really care about their restaurant.

Read moreWhen they opened, this was my favorite noodle joint close to work. Their DanDan noodles were astonishing, when they were prepared by the professional Chinese chef. Once the crew changed, the foods changed as well, sad to say, from good to mediocre, sometimes even bad. I've experienced a pebble in the food that broke my tooth (okay, might have been from the Chinese herbs that are traditionally dried on the pavement) the crew apologized. I've visited this place rarely after that but every single time I do, I get something different from what I ordered. U order DanDan with meat and a fried egg on top, you get DanDan without meat, fried egg missing. U order large DanDan with 3stars, you get medium DanDan in a large bowl with no stars at all. This has happend way too many times, during buzy lunch hours. This place is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get. First time I came the staff did quite the bad job. Food was of low quality and the staff seemed confused. However, the owner soon replied to us (came in for lunch with colleagues), apologized, and requested to try again. We took up his offer.
This time the food was great and it arrived almost immediately. It was the complete opposite to the first time I visited the restaurant.
Turns out they had just hired new people that day and they didn't seem to fit in that well, which is why everything was so out of place.
Big respect to them for owning up their mistakes and working towards...
