Great coffee and fantastic atmosphere with some eye popping pastries to boot. The price point is ridiculous (the most hipster bakeries in Tallinn don’t charge this much) but there’s no doubt you get your money’s worth: the pastries look like a work of art and there’s a lot going on under the hood. I’m giving this four stars mainly because the idea of a cruffin fails to resonate fully with me. It’s a fun switch up to have all that filling in a pastry maybe once a year, but on the reg I’d much prefer to pay less and have a good simple cardamom bun without all the bells and whistles (ours was dripping in syrup) or maybe an almond croissant if I’m feeling particularly decadent and/or desperate, rather than a pastry doubling as a veritable cake. But that’s just me. Technically these guys know what...
Read moreMy partner liked the coffee here, so we went often. Giving three stars only due to some positive good experience we had before. The last time we came there was so bad, I can't shake it off days later. I am visibly pregnant, (and thus hungry), and in no universe I can understand why the waitress/cashier lady chose to be so rude and educate me to the topic of "eggs not being vegetarian food". She told three times "eggs are not vegetarian food" with so much hate to me, that I was left eating in tears and won't go to the place ever again despite living in Tartu. Pastry is ok. Expensive, but good quality. Coffee must be good. That waitress should find job away from people. I've worked as a waitress long time ago and just can't imagine treating guests with such...
Read moreThis place should be named after their pizzas instead of their pastries. The cruffin is a fun gimmick, and quite tasty, but the pizza is what shines here. I have to say that it's basically perfect. I am straight up shocked that other reviewers haven't liked it. Maybe they just have never had this style? It's a roman style pizza (or Detroit style for Americans) and is absolutely incredible. I can't overstate how good this pizza is.
The croissants are also very good. The only thing I severely disliked was the ham and cheese pastry they had. It was...bizarre and tasted like an old mcdonald's cheeseburger. Other than that, I would...
