It may seem like mission impossible when you arrive at their doorstep, but the building is a lot bigger than the museum itself since it also hosts lectures. The exhibition itself can be accessed by an elevator next to the ticket office. They have totally remodeled the whole exhibition a couple of years ago. The animals are all still there, just presented in a new way, but they have added a new part about Earth. There are also a lot more hands-on possibilities to look closely different insects for example or to listen to the sounds of different birds. I think, though, that a typical 5-year-old could manage to pay attention during the whole visit, but 7 would be an even better age to visit. The museum is well planned, has great lighting and everything can be viewed in good detail. Great place to bring kids to show them the actual size of animals. My little one was very intrigued seeing the size of a lion. We don’t have them roaming around freely, so it was rather special. As an adult, it’s also a very cool place to visit. You get a very detailed overview of a lot of different species and earn more trivia knowledge. All in all, worth it.
