Having already a favourite spot for burgers in Addis does not mean that I am not open to explore new things. That's why I tried Wow Burger on Airport Road. I knew it was a local chain, I liked the logo, I told myself "why not?" I should probably have waited for an answer, as the question turned out not to be rhetorical at all, and the logo is still what I like most after the experience. It did not get off on the right foot right away, as the presentation was - say - unconventional (see photo). Still, I said I am open to new things, so I dug in without thinking twice and... the chips were cold. I've just received my order in a fast-food restaurant, and the chips are cold! It's a contradiction in terms. And yet, I plodded on to the burger itself. Alas, the bread used was not a typical burger bun, but a local type of bun which has - as its main feature - the quality of crumbling before your eyes even before you touch it. How on earth that is supposed to hold the ingredients of a hamburger, someone should explain it to the staff manning the hot plate. As for the burger itself, very often the adjective I see used to praise the quality of a beef patty is "juicy"... I wish that would have been applicable to my order. Instead, the only word that kept going around in my head was dry... dry... dry... Overall, an unpleasant experience. I am not wont to leave food in my plate, but this was one of those rare occasions. This would have been a flat one-star review, if it hadn't been for the serving staff: when I pointed out that my chips were cold, they brought me an extra portion (warm, not hot, this time) in a flash. I went to wow burger today and I am so disappointed on how bad it was... I went there for lunch because I hadn't eaten breakfast that day. I ordered the wow special burger 🍔 .The burger itself was not that good to begin with, the fries where DEAD and the ketchup was wayyyy too sweet.This burger made me feel like I was getting punched over and over for almost 5 hours and it ruined my day .It felt like you had too much to eat but your body decidednot to digest it. I had to sit down every 2 to 3 min because of how bad it felt in my stomach and then I suddenly felt saliva fill my mouth and I knew that that was the moment I would throw up . I braced for the worst and next thing I know the wow special burger was erupting out of my mouth for a full 10 seconds. The service was mediocre at best.... it took them years to serve me the food. The specific branch is at the national palace parking. If you do happen to visit the national palace parking you will notice that the wow burger 🍔 restaurant completely empty and I understand now why. I would have rated this -5 stars if I could. I had chicken burger and mixed juice. The burger bread was good, the burger itself was only chicken and lettuce and one slice odd looking( not red) seems to be a tomato. No sauces whatsoever, it's tasteless. French fries were good. Mixed juice was no tasty. It was hard to drink with the straw since it was a heavy drink, no liquidy, it's beautiful to eat with spoon as I was having hard time with trying to suck the straw and little comes out.
