ROC Cafe — Restaurant in Central

This place has potential. Since reopening, I've been only twice - both times I've left disappointed. 1st time - sister coffee date. To start off, I waited at least 10 minutes for my order to be taken at the counter. Someone who walked in after I did had his order taken first. My sister and I both agreed that the iced coffees lacked flavour. Food took forever to get to our table - to make it worse, there were only 2 other tables that were occupied and we ordered 2 slices of cake - cake that was already in the display cabinet. 2nd time, I waited 15 minutes for a chicken sandwich. Again there was only 1 other person in the Cafe. However, the new set up is very cozy and the staff are friendly. Good central cafe on the corner of Victoria Parade and Loftus Street - air conditioned, clean, nice decor, friendly staff and good service - has been an icon in Suva for years as one of the popular downtown cafes to meet at for European visitors - good for casual business meetings or just a pleasant central place to meet friends at for a coffee - iced thick shakes a specialty and big hit with my family - have frequented this place for more than 10 years and it still has the same charm as ever. This is the Cafe I go with my other half. And now it’s become a US thing. We love the cheesecake(it’s a must have) and the brownies are to die for. Try their ice coffee with cheesecake the best combo ever. This could be a little pricey for people but the quality won’t be regrettable. Love the vibe.
