Food was great as always. However, I had an unusual service experience today that Iâve never encountered before.
We ordered the Potato 65 as a starter, but our mains were served first. When I asked about the starter, a staff member told us we should have informed them if we wanted it as a starter â which we actually did when placing the order. It was also listed under the appetizer section on the menu, so we naturally expected it to be served before the mains. The staff member also remarked that âother customers usually tell us if they want it as a starter,â which felt a little unfair, especially since we had already mentioned this.
I understand that she wasnât the one who originally took our order and that there may have been some miscommunication. But rather than offering a straightforward apology or checking politely, she seemed to shift the blame to her colleague and repeatedly asked if we still wanted the dish, which was quite confusing. The tone felt more like a lecture than assistance, and that left me feeling uncomfortable â almost as if we were being treated differently.
I mentioned this to the manager, but he responded with a quick âyea yea yea, weâre sorry about that,â which came across as dismissive. I would like to believe that he already knew the full context and was simply acknowledging the situation with an immediate apology â but I honestly felt a bit brushed off.
I might not visit here as frequent as other regular customers, but Iâve always enjoyed the food and had great experiences here, which is why this incident stood out. Iâve always found the manager and frontline staff friendly and welcoming, and this is the first time Iâve had such an unpleasant experience after many visits over the years.
That said, I truly appreciate the kitchen team and all the hard work behind the scenes. This feedback comes from a place of respect and care â Iâm not trying to shame anyone, but just wanted to share what happened in hopes that future experiences can be...

I recently dined at Swagat Restaurant, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere, complemented by the friendly staff who made me feel right at home.
One of the standout features of this restaurant is its incredible menu. It offers an impressive variety of dishes that cater to a wide range of tastes and dietary preferences. From tantalizing appetizers to hearty main courses and delectable desserts, there is truly something for everyone. I opted for the Indian cuisine, and it was nothing short of fantastic. Each bite was a celebration of flavors, expertly prepared and beautifully presented. It's evident that the kitchen takes pride in crafting dishes made with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
The staff was another highlight of my visit. They were not only attentive but genuinely friendly, taking the time to ensure that I had everything I needed. They offered great recommendations from the menu and were more than willing to accommodate special requests. Their enthusiasm and knowledge about the dishes made the dining experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, Swagat Restaurant has struck a perfect balance with its great menu and good food, complemented by a staff that goes above and beyond. Itâs a place I would happily recommend to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience. I canât wait to return and try more from their...
Read moreThis was my first time eating at this restaurant. My wife and I joined 6 other couples for dinner here. Reservations were made a week in advance. We submitted all of our dinner preferences/orders the night before. We were seated within minutes of arriving at the restaurant. We waited approximately 15 minutes before some of our group were served their meals. Other dinners arrived sporadically thereafter. I ordered the Goan Chicken Curry meal. My wife ordered the Butter Chicken dish. We both really enjoyed our choices. We also shared an order of Garlic Naan bread, and a bowl of white Basmati rice. If you order a spicy meal, these two items help to dampen the spicy heat. We did enjoy those two items as well. At checkout, we had a few challenges paying for our separate meals, but it all worked out eventually. The service was so-so. Our waiter never checked with us to see if we liked our meals, or if we needed anything else. Thankfully, the food was stellar. Kudos to the cooks! The restaurant was clean and inviting. I plan to...
