Sakura Sushi Train — Restaurant in Central

I’ve been flirting with this restaurant for years but never quite asked Sakura to date.

I always ended up getting distracted by the wrapper next door, you know what it’s like —either heading to Kanu, My Kai, or whatever the other, usually just for the pictures.

Little did I know what I was missing.

Tonight, I finally made the move—and I discovered a genuine culinary delight.

Standouts from the Meal

• Seaweed Salad

I ordered the seaweed for the first time, and it was absolutely perfect. Fresh, crisp, and vibrant. It had a crunch and firmness that felt natural—not plasticky or mushy like at some other places.

• Sashimi

The sashimi? Incredible. I had what might be the freshest, most beautiful piece of tuna I’ve ever tasted. Melt-in-your-mouth quality. It was elegant and honest food.

• Greens Sautéed in Garlic

Simple, but executed perfectly. The greens were vibrant and the garlic hit just the right note—flavourful without overpowering.

The Vibe

Everyone involved with this restaurant feels like they’re honouring something greater. It’s the kind of place where you get the sense their ancestors would be proud.
