A gentrification vegan oriented restaurant / bar / florist(?) at the corner of Kallio which is seemingly popular among young adults that have higher standards than regular Joes. This place is often packed which makes visiting here a tad challenging.
This place is quite open especially from the ceiling which makes this place a bit echoing generally. Atmosphere feels quite luminous and there's lots small tables right next to each other. At first this establishment feels like a cafeteria but when you get to the bar desk it's clear that there's more here.
Solid beverages are delicious yet a tad more on the expensive side. Lots of vegetarian and even vegan solid beverage options. Regular lager beer index is circa 6 Euros from 0,5 litre glass of this grand liquid beverage. Everything else here is at the grand gentrification price segment which I don't follow personally.
Service was nice and pleasant and caring like it should be in establishment like these. Nothing to complain there really.
Interesting side note from their toilets. They have multiple urinal for men and only one unisex toilet with water closet. This is a genius way of reducing queuing for toilet.
There's a florist service here too. I'm not exactly sure how this kind of business works with restaurant but it's here and there's flowers and services related to this kind business here. A bit odd but not unheard. This kind of fusion with different businesses is getting more and more common. It makes a bit hard to find these from Google Maps though.
Overall often a bit too popular for my taste and I felt myself a tad outsider too. Not exactly a place for pirate scumbags like I'm. Nevertheless I recommend this establishment for anyone looking for vegetarian restaurant that isn't too restaurant and too fine dining. This is a restaurant for young adults from gentrification generation that share common interest. Not for regular Joes and not for finest dining experience...
Read moreWe give two stars not for the food which has been fantastic but we were concerned about lack of precautions taken in order to stop the spread of Covid.
Today we had lunch and found a very nice environment, the dishes were delicious. Excellent fresh fish of the day. . . I noticed that there were many wine glasses in front of the cashier where every customer paid for their food and drinks. These glasses were then used to make drinks. Please be more mindful of the presence of the virus in the community and make special arrangements for the time being.
Now if we don't want shops, businesses, restaurants and the whole world to stop again because of Covid19, we must all make a huge effort to prevent further contagion.
I am looking forward to visiting again soon and seeing that more precautions have been...
Read moreUnfortunately had to leave before I was even able to order. I sat down on a table on terrace and saw a waiter which I tried to get eye contact. He was busy to go to have a chat to another table and firmly avoided eye contact. He could've told that customers need to go to order inside. To make this more of a statement he went in from another door so he could avoid telling me to go order inside. Anyway figured out this soon enough and when the service was not really enthusiastic also inside I chose to find another place. Which was pity because there wasn't really options around Sunday noon. Of course it's kind of cute that people think they're too cool to really do what they're supposed to do working in a restaurant in what could be described a hip area...
