Little Saigon Itis — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

First off i just have to say: WOW. The whole experience of dining in this restaurant was just simply amazing. Starting off with the food: i got the pho and my boyfriend got the fried pho and summer rolls and it was so delicious we almost fainted. I’m a huge lover of pho and this was one of the best ones i’ve ever tasted in my life. The thing that made this experience so special and unforgettable though was definitely the customer service. The owner was the sweetest little lady and she made us feel like we we’re just two little kids eating at grandmas. She has such a positive and loving energy which shines through and makes the whole restaurant feel like home. I’ve never felt that way in any restaurant before it was just such an amazing experience and it made my day. The owner even brought us some delicious vietnamese pastries that she had baked and it they were so good. It was just all an all such a great environment and a great experience and we’ll definitely be going back many, many, many more times...

3rd vietnamese restaurant that we have tried. We ordered the Bun rieu (if I am not mistaken the name). Well it does not fit our appetite but does not rate this place low, because we have not tried its pho or bun bo hue.

But the forte of this place is the snacks/appetizers. I do not know the name (but I posted the pics). They are deliciousss, mainly savory/umami, and mostly seasoned with black pepper I think. Tried the stuffed bun as well, delicious!

We are not vietnamese, so sorry for the clueless writing of the names. advice for other non-vietnamese: safe choices are pho or bun bo hue, the others maybe really depend on each...

Excellent food and great personalities here. This is our new favorite place, and we're already telling friends about it :3 The selection is a nice mix of well-known Vietnamese dishes and less known ones that I've sorely missed since moving to Finland.

The first time we visited, our group rolled in 30 minutes before closing and everything was excellent; nothing tasted like the bottom of the pot. As mentioned, the food takes longer to prepare than take-out places, but that makes sense since the food doesn't taste like quick take-away. (There is also a decently-sized sitting area.)
