Pretty Boy Iso Omena — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

Finally a place that one can have chicken. I had a bonelss with the pretty boy sauce, chicken was cooked very nicely and the sauce was a bit too sour for my taste, but quite good. We had grilled chicken on freshly baked bread, which that one was really good, a bit of tandoori and very good combination of garnishes. Loved it. We loved the coleslaw where it was not soaked with sauce so thumbs up to that. The fries were also quite nice not burned or anything like that, crispy on outside and soft inside. The reasons that I am giving 4 stars is that my chicken was a a bit too sour, the freshly baked bread was a bit burnt on the corners and bottom side of it.

Update: Tried it again after two months. The fries git much much better. Tried this sandwich which was called sandos. And it was very good. Also tried boneless with bang coq sauce and I liked it better than pretty boy buffalo that I tried last time. It was a bit sweet, so maybe not for those who don’t like sweet sauce. But I liked the garlic and caramel mixture. Portions...

Was looking for a quick bite and found this place, decided to go try it out of curiosity.

Got the Soul Burger with the 12€ discount, and it overwhelmed my taste buds (in a good way)! The chicken is really nice, especially with the sauce in the burger.

I also got some loaded fries with them, nacho(?) cheese with chili. Didn't like it as much as the burger, I think the cheese tasted weird.

I think for about 15€, it's a nice change of pace from your regular burger chains. I wouldn't go here that often...

But! I think there might be a slight chance of me coming back because of the atmosphere, it really makes up for the price and the nice food. I somehow got sinked into my art while waiting for my food and after...

This place comes as a big relief to the chicken wings scene in Helsinki. These are perhaps the best wings you can get in Helsinki in my opinion. How do you make wings so soft?

The staff is amazing, I love the interior of the place, so conveniently located in Iso Omena. The Carolina reaper sauce is a bit too much for my stomach but it’s good to experiment with once in a while.

My only regret is that wings don’t travel too well for home delivery. It’s not their fault. It’s just that they taste the best when eaten at the restaurant. There’s nothing you can do about it.

Thank you for this place. I’m going to be a regular. 2 weeks and I’ve eaten there...
