Restaurant Daily Dose — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

Three years ago I wrote: Excellent food! I've never tasted vitello tonnato, it was great. And the risotto was absolutely divine! I recommend to have as a dessert the wine with almond cookies.

But now, unfortunately I need to drop from 5 to 3, because the lunch has been a huge dissapointment the two times I've been there. The lasagne was very soggy and without any taste (if there was a slight taste, it was unpleasant) - it left impression of a school lasagne which is not good at all. My friend also disliked his lasagne.

First time the tiramisu was really dry, second time it was moist but lacking any flavour. The mushroom pasta also had really no flavour at all (no salt or any other flavour), and was quite dry.

I really wanted to like the lunch, the combo of food, wine, dessert and espressl is a lovely idea. But the food is not good at all, especially compared with the ala carte (at least to those few times I visited...

The best Italian restaurant with big hearts and honesty! I have been here countless times, alone, with friends, with a family. They have truly delicious food, superb wine, and friendly yet very professional service.

Our favorite style is to visit during the dinner time and order many small dishes as starters to share, and take time to enjoy each flavors and tastes with negroni and wine, order big pasta dishes finishing with grappa. But we also visit at the lunch time and have pasta and add some espresso too.

The owners are so lovely and they put their soul and love to their little restaurant. It's a little Italy in Vallila, and we are so lucky to have them...

For many years everytime after visiting Italy. I have hoped that one day there would be a restaurant like this in Helsinki where the food is made with love and care and is truly authentic. With every dish and piece that you taste, you are always transported straight back to Italy.

Also the atmosphere in the restaurant is always warm and welcoming and the staff and owner are polite and friendly!
