Easily one of the best cafes around the Vallila/Hermanni/Sörnäinen area. Everything on offer - coffee, sweet and savoury edibles - are excellent. Breakfast plate is simple but all the more delicious. On top of all that, the barista is just lovely, and the cafe is slightly less expensive than other similar places near the area. The only downside is that this is a one man operation which means that waiting times can be a bit long, but it is easily worth it.

If there would be six stars to give, I would give all of them. Everything I’ve ever eaten at Päijänne, has been amazing. Everything is self made and almost everything is vegan and gluten free. This is our favorite cafe in Helsinki and for a good reason. Even our dog loves the place.

Excellent coffee and sweet treats (carrot cake pictured), beyond excellent service and an atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The owner is passionate about what they do and goes out of his way for his customers. Probably my favourite cafe in Helsinki!
