Interesting project in a lovely cozy place. Great synergy between the 4 workers that were having a great time amongst themselves, making service slow at times. In our visit we were 7 clients, and it took us over 2 hours to receive 4 dishes. That said, I must say is that they were happy to give us a taste of several wines, as the ones we wanted were sold out, before buying a bottle. Flavours were good, unfortunately, as they can't foresee how many clients will cross the doors, everything is vacuumed sealed and they unfreeze as clients choose their dishes. Hot dishes were cold except the gnocchi that were very homely and warm.
The hollandaise sauce is a complex warm sauce, and it is in fashion nowadays to do Eggs Benedict or similar with ready made sauces. If the hollandaise would have been home made ( butter and yolks taste with lemon juice at 65°C aprox. ) the brussel sprouts dish would have been superb. Conclusion: If management assured full tables every night, produce and kitchen processes would be optimized, the experience would be great, as the ideas are there. What came first, the chicken or the egg ?

Read moreSmall shareable dishes, wonderful cocktails with a side-order of 90's hip-hop in a basement. I mean Bull & Firm literally sells itself here.
This is exactly the sort of place you should go on your third date. And the place where you can hook up with an old friend over italian cold-cuts while Notorious BIG is pumping. Staff is friendly, laid-back and everything just feels right. Food keeps coming, and your glass is never empty for long.
Portions are lovely. Especially the beef tartar, italian cold cuts and homemade pumpkin risotto. They can all be shared, and you can even order in a few more plates if you still feel peckish. What about a refill on that full-bodied red while...
Read moreNot holding up to the expected standard. The atmosphere is cosy but the room was very noisy. The service was friendly but lacking some attention. I took the 4 courses menu with wine pairing. It was overall good but not enough for that type of restaurant. The chef may try too much and most dishes were not very well balanced and lacking harmony in term of taste. The combination of textures was good though. The wines were ok but nothing to talk much about. The asparagus and catch of the day with butter sauce were good but the cured fish was disappointing. I found the dessert too complex and a bit all over the place in term...
