Pizzeria Via Tribunali Kallio — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

Discrimination. Went with my parents (+65) to have a family dinner this Sunday 9/1/22 around 4pm, and they got denied their entrance.

They’re triple vaccinated (two Astra Zenecas + one Pfizer), but the restaurant didn’t accept their covid passport because they live in Brazil (so they got their vaccinations there), and a COVID passport from there.

I cannot believe they discriminated based on false claims that “things got stricter last week” while we’ve been going to restaurants here in Helsinki since 23/12/21, when they arrived to spend Christmas in family after so long. Just to mention they also had no problems in restaurants in Spain, as they were there since the 10th before coming to Helsinki, and the biggest sad joke is that they’re Italian citizens denied entrance in a Italian pizzeria.

Your workers are really badly trained and there was no manager to explain me why this sad situation was happening. I’ve been happily living in Finland for about eight years, and never experienced such bad treatment, but gladly know there’s plenty of good pizzerias in the city… So I can make sure I never put my foot in one of your...

I was waiting at the entrance of this restaurant for 15 minutes, being actively ignored by the staff. Other people were standing here, too.

The only reason I did not walk away is that I got a voucher for this "restaurant". So I stayed.

After some time a friendly waiter offered me a table. Thank you.

The choice of pizzas is not very Italian. Important pizza variants such as "4 Stagioni" or "4 Formaggio" are missing. As nothing else was really appealing, I ordered a pizza Margarita.

Waiting time for the pizza was quite long. And the restaurant was very, very noisy.

Now about the pizza: it has little to do with an Italian pizza. The tomato sauce seems fresh, but it is kind of watery. The dough was not thin and crispy, but rather fluffy. I would have loved to add some pepper or hot pizza sauce, but there was no pepper mill on the table and no pizza sauce in sight.

I think I should have offered my voucher to somebody else and go to one of the really good finish restaurants...

I can't understand how this restaurant has such a high rating. We didn't have a good experience during our visit. Firstly, the service was extremely poor. We had to wait at least 45 minutes to get our food. Before we finished drinking the carbonated water we had purchased, the waitress took it away, saying she would refill it. But she never came back with new water. When we asked about it, she made an excuse that she was almost alone at work, which was far from true. We also observed her bringing water to several tables next to us. It would have been better if she had been honest and admitted that she forgot instead of trying to lie to the customer. We travel a lot, and the service at this place is one of the worst we have experienced. As for the food, the toppings on the pizza were okay, but the crust was too soft, almost like...
