We had a 8 person party attending Sabu House with 2 being Vegan, we all ordered sets for korean bbq. The food was great and high quality. The meat options were of good quality and the staff had no problem changing a few items from the set menus for our pleasure đđ» In comparission the vegan options were left lacking. The vegan set was smaller in terms of protein content in comparison to the 10e cheaper meat set which is conserning and should be looked at. The vegan set looked great on instagram but in terms of taste were a little bit bland. I would suggest having the tofu and other fake meats pre-marinated before-hand since unseasoned vegan meats dont translate the same in effect as real meats in a Korean bbq setting, taking to account all the sides & sauces. Over all from a meat eaters perspective the food was of great and the staff were very accomadating. The green sauce was suprisingly tasty and was a personal favorite! The Kimchi was really good, top 3 in Helsinki in my opinion (which is high praise). The ssamjang sauce which is a staple in Korean Bbq was good but could be more flavorful by Korean bbq standards. The menu did not mention that we could only ask for one extra serving of side dishes and sauces free of charge before it would cost extra which was confusing when we asked the staff beforehand. This should be mentioned in the menu
Overall the food and the experience was great from a meat eaters perspective and would reccomend. Had a great time. looking forward to testing the buffet!! The issues with the vegan set and transperancy of the side dishes should...

We were given ton of different foods at start instead of just letting us choose what to get. We felt like we were wasting food if we didn't forcefully eat it and the idea of getting sanction from food that we didn't order felt just wrong.
What particularly struck us was being given a gigantic eggplant that we had no intention of consuming. It seemed like an unnecessary addition, and we felt uncomfortable having to skip it.
The food, while not great, wasn't bad either. Service was rather underwhelming. I couldn't help but feel a bit invisible, as I had to look around and wave my hand multiple times to get the attention of the waitstaff. It might be beneficial for the restaurant to consider implementing an alarm system to help customers signal when they need assistance, creating a more seamless dining experience. The staff friendly despite the challenges in the dining experience.
Another point worth mentioning is the temperature in the restaurant. Unfortunately, it was quite cold during my visit, and my company and I found ourselves trembling.
On a positive note, the Black Weekend discount was a pleasant surprise.
Overall, it was a bit of a mixed bag, but there were some positive aspects. The idea of being sanctioned with food that we didn't order significantly detracted from the enjoyment...
Read moreService was very slow. We waited for around 40 minutes before we got our food and drinks. The waitress didn't really speak English and they clearly had communication problems between the staff as another staff member brought us the menus again after we had already ordered. As we were not very familiar with the concept and didnât realise one of the options was a so called âhot potâ, we ended up ordering that. As the Korean BBQ concept is not very commonly known in Finland, it would have been nice that the waitress would have explained (or it could have been mentioned in the menu at least!) that one of the menus...
