Ravintola Wanha Aitta — Restaurant in Joensuu sub-region

We called to reserve a table for 18 people, 3h before showing up. This was accepted and they asked us to send our food orders by mail, weird process but fair enough, we did it few minutes after the phone call. From the moment we sat in one of their back room, it took 40min to see the first 3 pizzas and the waiter for the first time. The great winner of my group had to wait 1h25min to have his 8wings, served without even an apology. On the top of that, everything was counted doubled in the bill ( got it corrected of course), and the only bottle of wine we got was vinegary ( that can happen anytime that’s fine, but we first got a “ you opened it it’s too late” to finally end up changing the bottle few min later ). Pizza were okay tho. I know in Finland it’s culturally rude to complain, but this experience was not in my opinion a masterclass of professionalism. Loved this, beautiful lakeside setting, food on the more expensive side but very good. Friendly service and relaxed atmosphere, dog friendly too. Only minus is the main road that is right next too it which adds some noise but not deal breaker....
