Johanssonin talo 1849 — Hotel in Joensuu sub-region

A budget-friendly option for short-term stays and travellers looking to save some money. The room that we ended up staying in was small with two twin beds. Please be aware that there are no closets or ensuite bathrooms (at least in rooms like ours). There was also no rug or carpet in the room, which was an issue with muddy and wet boots. In fact, there were very few rugs in the hotel itself, making that issue worse. The room we stayed in did have a nice tv.||The shared bathrooms are small but kept clean. The whole hotel itself seems to be fairly clean. It is an old building, so if you’re a fan of history like me, you’ll appreciate that. The exterior is quite charming too.||The hotel has a great location with cultural locations, supermarkets, cafes, bars, and restaurants...

Rooms are okay-ish. The concept of check-in and check-out without any human interactions is great. The temperature inside was terribly cold, I complained about it, but they were unable to do anything, so take warmer clothes with you.

Also, it would be also nice to have some supplies in the vending machine (i.e. toothbrush with paste, sewing kits, hair comb, etc), because grocery store next door does...

Oikein viihtyisä ja siisti majoitus. Tilat remontoitu, mutta wc/suihkutilat hieman nuhjuiset. Kuitenkin erityismaininta alakerran suihkusta, jossa kattosuutin ja riittävä vesipaine. Oli nautinnollista käydä suihkussa.

Äänimaailma on meluisa. Muiden asukkaiden kolistelut ja ovien availut/sulkemiset kuuluvat voimakkaasti huoneisiin sekä liikenteen melu.

Sijainti on aivan huippu. Vain korttelin päässä torilta ja jokirannasta. Rautatieasemallekin iisi kävelymatka. Henkilökuntaa en juurikaan nähnyt. Ovikoodit ja ohjeet tulivat viestillä, joten ei tarvetta henkilökunnan kohtaamiseen.

Äänimaailmaa voisi yrittää parantaa ja ehkä joku eväsautomaatti olisi kahvikoneen lisänä kiva. Aamupalamahdollisuus löytyy naapurikorttelissa arkisin, mutta viikonloppuna aamiaista joutuu etsimään vähän kauempaa. Citymarket kyllä löytyy parin korttelin päästä.

Kaikenkaikkiaan hyvää vastinetta rahalle ja voisin valita toistekin majoitukseksi...
