I recently stayed at this hotel in Joensuu, and my experience was exceptional from start to finish. The first thing that struck me was the impeccable cleanliness—it immediately set a high standard. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of the city, making everything easily accessible. The service was outstanding, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. All the basic necessities were well covered—even simple things like salt and pepper—so you don’t have to run to the market for everyday essentials. The gym is huge, spectacular, and fully equipped with all the machines you could need. One of the highlights was the private sauna. Having this extra feature truly set the hotel apart and felt like a special treat. On top of that, I had an afternoon flight, and the hotel was wonderfully flexible with my checkout time. This kind of consideration really speaks volumes about their boutique approach and commitment to guest satisfaction. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. Cleanliness, location, amenities, and personalized service all combined to make it a memorable stay. Highly recommended!
the ONLY feedback to improve: blackout in the rooms isn't very efficient (only relevant in summer, but I would add an extra layer of curtains/change...
Read moreGreat central location near everything in Joensuu. Very nice and helpful personnel, they seem really happy to welcome you. They even helped us to carry our stuff to the room, which just does not happen in Finland ever. Some nice details: during Covid-19 they will only provide pre-ordered breakfast to the rooms in the evening. For 8 euros you'll get bread, Carelian pastries, yoghurt, cold cuts, cheese, veggies and berries. Very nice selection. You can get little bags of oats for porridge as well as some fruits for free. There are also boxes of Legos (washed and cleaned) to borrow for children. Interior of the room was cosy, there were pictures with frames around. A little kitchenette has everything you need for a short stay; dishes, cutlery, tea and coffee. You can wash clothes and there is a dishwasher too. Coffee maker and water boiler in the room. There are two play parks nearby, many restaurants and the market square around the corner. There are parking places (8€/day) at the hotel and nearby. A grocery store and liquor store across the street. Three stars for the room interior (nice but not fancy) but five stars for great service and customer orientation and location! Definitely would...
Read moreI stayed on the weekend of Mar 5/6, 2022. This is a new aparthotel in the old postal services building whose fourth and fifth floor have been completely renovated for the purpose. Other occupants include a public gym whose services are available to hotel guests at bargain rates.
You couldn't really get any more central in Joensuu than this. It's a good place to start for anything when you're around.
The rooms are brand new and well equipped, the beds cozy and comfortable, and the modern arrangements with the code locks and everything work really well. We had an unusual schedule so the owners delivered breakfast supplies to our room before our arrival so we didn't need to act on the house schedule.
I stayed in the Muuzikku room which is decorated with old records and photographs of locally famous artists. Very tastefully done and hit a sweet spot with me. I don't know when I will be coming to Joensuu again, but I doubt I'll even bother looking anywhere else for...
