Almost had a heat stroke during night but cold shower saved me. I’m pretty sure the room temp was over 30 degrees as I just stayed in hotel where room temp was 28 and it was livable.
Our room was at ground floor and when we had our window open there were drunken and other people passing by it. It felt like someone could easily come in. Some people peed on the wall by the hotel windows, and their faces were on the level of the windows, easily seeing into the rooms if someone did not have curtains covering the windows.
All in all atleast the room that we had was outright not livable.
During hot summer save your money and pass this hotel.
Otherwise pretty basic, a bit shabby, but the price tells it all so no surprises there. Good staff and good price to...
Read moreThe hotel is otherwise good: spacious room, friendly staff, good location, but the room is so hot that it is impossible to stay in the room during the day and we could only sleep couple of hours keeping the window open all night and two fans on. Receptionist was friendly to give us a bigger fan and an electric freezer bag to cool some drinks. The fridge in the room is a joke, that doesn't keep anything cool. Just uses power and warms up the room for nothing. I am sorry to be negative as I would like to enjoy this hotel but this made our two days of the holiday more stressfull than relaxing. Advice to the hotel: It is time to update the rooms with airconditioners. It must be awful also for the house keeping to...
Read moreThe hotel's decent and I reckon it is considered cheap for Finnish standards. Rooms are clean (even though doors and bathroom would need maintenance), breakfast is decent and varied, location is in the city centre. So the hotel is a good option for travellers who wish mainly to have a decent place to sleep. This said, I have the feeling this green rhetoric is just a means of reducing waged staff to the minimum. Basically staff is available just until the afternoon, then everything is based on self-management and contactless. Wouldn't mind to have more human...
