Barot's — Restaurant in Jyväskylä sub-region

NOT RECOMMENDED! Service - OK, Food - Not worth the money, nor your time actually eating there. Run. Run away fast. We ordered a Chicken burger with garlic sauce and a Barot's special burger with chili sauce. I told them that because I’m allergic I didn’t want any tomatoes. We received something looking really tasty, but our good experience ended there. The Special burger was overcooked and tasted nothing but pepper, and the Chicken burger was received WITH KETCHUP. Because that’s not tomatoes, right? The sign did not prepare me of ketchup, otherwise, I would have added that I didn’t want that either. The fries were dry and didn’t even taste like potatoes, they tasted nothing what so ever actually. The burgers were around 15€ each, spare your money and eat at Mcdonalds, same quality (or even better at MD) but...

I don't usually leave longer reviews of places, but let me tell you: this place is amazing and I am surprised that it isn't super well known (yet) in Jyväskylä. I cannot remember the last time I have tasted a hamburger so good in Finland anywhere. Sure, Naughty brgr is good. Morton is good. Taikuri is great. They added a great experience to Jyväskylä.

But:

As an American minor food critic who knows a good meal vs something that recreates the iconic scene in Ratatouille, this is something that'll make you stop and think for a bit, that this is a damn good burger.

I recommend the Barots BBQ with extra bacon, and black pepper mayo....

Bought a bbq burger, but they forgot the barbaque sauce. I had already ate over half of the burger, noticed the missing part and went to the desk to complain about it.
