This bar literally saved my life. I'm serious. In this bar you can be who you are. I write there and coffee is good. The floor has been partly remodeled. Just the part that needed to be fixed. Floor tiles of two colors. I love it. Uptown (physically, not by affluence) home away from home. In its un-uniformity it grows on you in a charming way. All the furniture is second to fourth hand. Some tables and chairs are probably from school furniture auctions, others from scrap yards and skips or somebody has built them from scratch. Many things have been gifted too. Some of the mugs and cups are donations. The tables outside are made of wooden pallets. Everything is meta-retro and I love it. I've also heard that the beer and wine selections have become better and better during the years. I just drink water, soda, tea, coffee, juice or cocoa. Great bohemian atmosphere with a colourful local clientele. The beer is cheap (especially during happy hour) and the place is often frequented by students and artists. There are board games and books available too. They often organise live cultural events such as poetry readings, stand-up comedy, political speeches, art galleries, folk music and even theatre (in the basement). The best bar in in town! The owners and waiters are whole-hearted people, and this is appreciated in the warm and loving atmosphere of this place. Each month there is new art in the walls, which it makes this place unique.
