Ravintola Gloria — Restaurant in Kuopio sub-region

I must update my review, and say that now it worked 👍 We were in Gloria again in Aug 2025. Friday evening was quite silent, and the DJ was so happy to play our favourites, when we arrived and asked. We were able to attract also other people to the empty dance floor. As a summary, we stayed there some hours and spent money for quite many drinks. A lonkero mixed with Terva "Tar" snaps was our favourite, and brought memories from Kajaani's Terva Pub 😉

Earlier 2024: I had big expectations to Gloria. Last time on spring it was mostly adults, but now more youngsters with "lippalakki". DJ was total moron: there were no one on the dance floor, but he did not play out wishes. Maybe he was big artists like Calvin Harris, etc. I would look the people at the place and try different genres, also for older people, Abba, 80s, etc. Would bring more money for the owner. Sattumoisin menimme neljän hengen porukalla katsomaan meininkiä ja etsimme myös karaokepaikkaa torstaina, 07.12. Yllätys oli melkoinen, kun paikalla oli todennäköisesti joku salsaharjoitusryhmä, mukana myös mukavasti nuoria. Olipa virkistävä pläjäys ja varsinkin kun meno jatkui osittain myös karaokepuolella. Eipä viitsinyt laittaa itse laulupyyntöä vetämään, kun oli niin mukava kuunnella muita, erityisesti nuorta miestä, joka lauloi espanjaksi....
