Amarillo, Pori — Restaurant in Pori sub-region

I have been to many different Amarillos in Finland and Estonia and never been disappointed. But my experience here was just awful. First we get shoved to table in a corner right next to where the waiters run in and out of the kitchen. The sound from the kitchen was so loud that we couldn't talk or hear eachother. The food was bland and when asked for salt the salt shakers lid was not put on proper so all the salt fell into the food. Upon telling this to the waitress she asked us what we want her to do about it in a very rude way. Obviously she don't know her job so needed advise from us. Also the decorative greens on top of the chicken tasted moldy and old. When we told this to our waitress she told us it's only for decoration and not for eating!?!? She then went to taste it and said it's suppose to taste like that witch is complete bs. And she kept on being very rude and sarcastic in her way of talking to us. Overall experience awful. Awful service awful food and I will never go back...

En ole vuosiin käynyt Amarillossa, koska olen aikoinaan käydessäni kokenut, ettei ruoka ole kummoista ja menu on jäänyt ajasta. Porin visiitillämme kuitenkin poikkesimme Amarilloon, kun emme jaksaneet alkaa tutkia ruokapaikkoja sen tarkemmin - Ajattelimme, että ainakin tiedämme mitä odottaa... Vaan toisin kävi, yllätyimme positiiviesti! Menu edusti toki edelleen tex mex/burgerilinjaa, kuten ravintolan konseptiin kuuluu, eikä se mitään ennen kuulumatonta tarjoa vieläkään, mutta annokset on päivitetty tähän päivään ja valmistettu huolella. Söin xxl-House burgerin (hinta ääs-kortilla 21,90€), joka oli kampanjatarjouksessa. Burgerissa oli chilisämpylän välissä kaksi erinomaisesti paistettua, muhkeaa, mehevää ja mehukasta jauhelihapihviä astetta paremmasta rotukarjan lihasta. Lihaa yhteensä 200g. Kypsennys mediumiksi, kuten olin tilannut, oli onnistunut nappiin. Pihvien lisäksi burgerissa oli ainakin pekonia, juustoa, salaattia, tomaattia, majoneesia ja voimakasta bbq-kastiketta, jonka sai halutessaan kippoon lautaselle - Siihen oli kiva dippailla pihviä omaan makuun sopivasti. Bbq-kastike toimi erinomaisesti maukkaan jauhelihan kanssa. Annos oli valtava, enkä edes nimen perusteella olisi uskonut sitä niin suureksi. Isommankin jantterin nälkä lähtee Amarillossa takuulla burgerilla, jossa on kaksi pihviä ja yhden pihvin burgeritkin ovat varmasti riittoisia. Burgerin kyljessä lautasella oli reilusatsi maalaisranskalaisia ja coleslaw-salaattia. Käyntimme kruunasi kuitenkin ensiluokkainen palvelu! Meille luotiin heti kotoisa ja rento tunnelma ja meidät huomioitiin kaikkien pöydässämme vierailleiden tarjoilijoiden osalta iloisesti, välittömästi ja aidosti kiinnostuneena. Tuntui, että työyhteisössä oli hyvä henki ja kaikki nauttivat työstään; olivat ylpeitä ja innoissaan ruoasta, jota myivät. The service was good and the food came out really fast. They don’t have any happy hour/specials. The restaurant is very expensive for what you’re getting. The prices compare to a much more high end restaurant located in a touristy city. We got the house burger and chicken nachos and they weren’t bad, although a bit too salty. The overall restaurant and food quality felt like a fast food chain restaurant. If you have the money to spend here then I would recommend spending your money somewhere else where you can get a lot more bang...
