Sayam9 — Restaurant in Tampere sub-region

It's worth to drive again 2nd time with 188km. and spent 4 hrs. on the street from Porvoo to Tampere to get delicious Thai authentic food, i can see that Chef is cook with care and love, good quality from raw materials can bring better food and skill of chef bring more better taste out. As a chef as well, i can recommend Sayam 9 is one of Thai food in Tampere. Running by family business. I was spent my time for 4 hrs to taste many different from buffet and a la carte, reasonable price with 11,90€ of plenty of salad, different of food stir fried, curry, fried rice, fried noodle, wings, dessert, cookies, tea and coffee and eat all as you can

I took a dish with all food from buffet 11,90€ and then order Seafood Papaya salad, i came with a big tray with fully mixed seafood with 25€ but that for 4 people but it went away easy with hungry person as well, then i order 2 portions of Stir fried spicy beef and Chicken oyster sauce for takeaway. It was very good of both.

Toilet is clean, overall in restaurant is clean, good atmosphere, people are service with happy, smiles and friendly, feel as home

I will come back again for sure !!!

I tried the lunch buffet which runs from 11-14:30 and it was amazing. I will say when they say something is spicy (Tulinen suomeksi) they 100% mean that. A lot of restaurants promise spicy and fall short of what is truly spicy. However Sayam9 does not play around, spicy is spicy and you best believe it! Even so the spicy cold chicken salad was amazing, the soup there was lovely, the staff was lovely as well!

Though as a special side note, I ate their fried chicken legs and I went back for quite a few more after. It's rare to find anywhere here in Tampere that does fried chicken on the bone. It's usually boneless, but as an american I'm use to fried chicken having a bone in it. I was very happy to see that, and more than a little pleased to see they used other cuts of chicken than the breast in their cold chicken salad!

I plan on recommending this to anyone looking for a little more exotic but not too way out on a branch. I am sad about one thing, there was no Tom Yum soup which I would have loved to try. Beyond that, very minor, disappointment great restaurant and worth...

The owner become greedy and very rude. The food quality has dropped bellow standard and I really recommend you stay away from this place . They use cheap rice, when in say cheap the one is broken in pieces . This quality of rice you find it in cheap street food places not restaurants. They are greedy because they have to big restaurant for the amount of services they can provide . There is one cook the owner and one waiter that she doesn't speaks good Finish . The cook owner was super rude that instead of apologies for the wrong order they brought us blames us that we didn't order from the menu something we did but the waiter understood wrong . They don't have chairs but stool's. Imagine going in restaurant and seat in a stool. Is my mistake when I saw that didn't took my family and run away. Food in past was excellent but now become really cheap version of it and tasteless .
