Memos — Restaurant in Vaasa sub-region

I recently had a pleasure of dining at Memos. As a Turkish person, I was quite surprised with the taste of the food since I did not expect to find such taste outside of the Turkey. The food at Memos tastes simply fantastic. During lunch, the buffet serves more than probably 16 different kinds of food. Surprisingly, all of them are tasty, and some of them are even better than the food served in restaurants in Turkey. From the a la carte menu for dinner, I chose hummus as an appetizer, Alinazik as my main dish, and baklava with ice cream as my dessert. I like all of the dishes, but the meat on top of the Alinazik was especially soft and tasty. It melted in your mouth. I went there in March and I am dreaming about it still. Unfortunately too far away to return any time soon. The food was sooooo good. Especially the Mezze table. Would not have needed the warm lunch special (though that was a welcome addition, of course). Everything tasted very fresh and homemade. Lots of vegetables. Despite it being very popular, I got a table without any wait (although you might have to wait a little, when it gets really busy). If you need a good lunch in Vaasa, I highly recommend...

Lunch is very overpriced in my opinion (14€/person). Yes there is a wide selection of mezzes (average quality, I’ve had better), but only 1 type of main dish, which yesterday was kebab in a sauce (the frozen stuff you can get in any shop). So I am not coming back for sure.
