Daiwo Sushi — Restaurant in Vaasa sub-region

A huge selection of different types of sushi and a few other generic asian dishes that I can not differentiate, sushi being the main attraction. Prices seem a bit on the higher side for a buffet, but luckily they offer student discounts if you ask. The serve alcohol. Coffee and dessert is included in the buffet price. That you can choose Take away cups for coffee is a plus for me. What I find annoying and dumb is the soda machine that has store bought bottles inside which makes the drinks super fizzy as you fill your glass, and stale once you get to the table. Waiting for the foam to set also makes filling a glass a tedious task that takes a long time, and the positioning of the drink station is not logistically sound. This means you get intersecting lines for the drinks, sushi, plates and coffee AND toilets in the same corner where the staff goes to and from the kitchen. Not a very intimate restaurant, seeing as it's more often full than ok...

Rude owners with wrong attitude. I called I asked if they have vegan options in the menu they said yes we do . I booked a table for 8 people for the next day. In my surprise the bufe had no vegan options, I went to the waiter ( she was the only reasonable polite person in this place) I told her my issue she said yeah sometimes we have some we dont . She apologized for the inconvenience and she told me if I want to order something form the menu, I said yes but since we come here for the Buffe can I take some vegan spring rolls and salad.Yes of course she said let me inform the Kitchen . The second surprise come in seconds,the lady owner with the killer unhappy look said No I have to pay extra for everything . We where all disapointed my friends suggested to share their food but I dint want to the owner was looking us like we are thiefs. Really great hot foods. And a wide selection of sushi. The largest Asian buffet in Vaasa and also probably the largest Asian restaurant. The setting is stunning and cozy. The sushi was beautiful and the quality is enough for a buffet restaurant. My only 2 problems being the attitude of the Finn cashier lady, even the cook and servers have more professional restaurant attitude. She is not rude but doesnt feel welcoming.
