Spices Asian Restaurant — Restaurant in Vaasa sub-region

When you step into SPICES, you are immediately greeted by the staff. The restaurant is warm and inviting, with an attractive stone fountain standing in the center of the restaurant. The smell of Asian cuisine is making your mouth water and you look over the buffet line deciding what to take.

The price is fair, considering that there aren't too many varieties of food, but enough that you'll find something that you enjoy. The food quality isn't anything to write home about, it doesn't stand out from other Asian restaurants in either a good or bad way, but the food was good, warm, its brought out in small amounts in order to keep it hot and fresh. The deep fried sushi isn't anything I'd eat again though, and honestly I hoped for a little wider selection. The restaurant itself is in immaculate condition. The bathrooms are clean and well maintained, and it is a place which I'd be happy to return to if I want decent Asian cuisine...

We thought we would find delicious Asian cuisine here, but we were truly disappointed.

A few positives: the restaurant is clean, spacious, and has plenty of tables. The staff is friendly and attentive, constantly tidying up. The restaurant offers hot dishes, sushi, a salad bar, and drinks for customers.

However, when we arrived, there were only a few pieces of sushi left on the plate, and they looked like they had been sitting out for a while. The hot food was more plentiful, but some trays were nearly empty, and the quality wasn't much better. Fortunately, I was able to enjoy some braised pork with white rice. You can also find salad and some fruit for dessert.

The place is nice and staff friendly. It was fully booked on Saturday! Food was awesome and so much to chose from... from Sushi to woks, french fries and wings, mixed fried foods like chicken, gyozas and so on. Plus salads and fruits with cheese cakes, cookies and coffee as a dessert with a reasonable price for buffet.
