I had dinner at Les Halles with my boyfriend and his mother, who lives in Ajaccio, in early November. We were desperately looking for a place to eat at when we fell across this excellent restaurant. And we were so happy that we did because the food was absolutely delicious and the ambiance very cosy and inviting! For starters, we were given a small olive tapenade to share, which tasted homemade. Then for dinner, we shared a plate of calamari and afterwards I had the fish and chips, which was scrumptious with its batter made with beer! Most importantly, was so heavy on garlic that no other taste could be tasted. The scampi tartare is not made with scampi, but with shrimps, and is not a tartare as the fish is cooked. In fact was a guacamole bed with pre-cooked shrimps on it. The carpaccio de merou has a pineapple sauce that covered the whole fish flavor. So bad that the fish disappointed because the atmosfere was otherwise pretty good.
