RESTAURANT LE DON QUICHOTTE — Restaurant in Ajaccio

We made a reservation for three during our holidays beginning August. We ran late so we called for keeping the table 1/2 longer which was no problem on the phone. When we arrived we got the last table at the end of the terrace leading into a dark alley next to dust bins an such. Even worse nobody showed up within 20 minutes after being palced at that table. We were super hungry and thursty so we decided to leave for another place. We met the waiter on the way out and said that this service was not acceptable and so we would not stay. No word of excuse or sorry. In stead a happy très bien! The restaurant is nice. Service: However, the service is slow. And it’s not slow about the cooking but about the servants that serve you. Because we had been waiting for a bottle of water for 20 minutes and it arrived when the food arrived. While we were waiting for water the servant was serving water to the customers who arrived later and were sitting next table. Food: the fish (dorade) was not fresh at all and had some smell that you could smell from the plate…. The vegetables served with fish were tasteless. It was quite a disappointing experience after all...

Lucky to have found this restaurant as we only arrived late at Ajaccio and wanted to have light but proper dinner. The owners and servers are all very friendly.
