This nice meal was soured by the price shock, particularly that they do not openly communicate the prices of the various steak options. The beautiful platter of beef cuts is presented and explained but prices are not visible, offered, and when asked, he did not answer.

The steaks were actually on the under-cooked side and needed to be further cooked too for a couple of our people.

When the bill came and we discovered one of the steaks was over €500, we fell off our chairs. That is ridiculous. We challenged the price and his explanation process. He shrugged his shoulders and said that it is the price. The waiter had no acceptance that he may have not conveyed it well, and had no contrition, and was not going to offer a concession. Not even a dessert or a cocktail. He was not concerned at all.

In hindsight we felt the menu explanation is deliberately opaque, and even evasive/slippery. At best, it’s a misunderstanding but the arrogance and lack of contrition suggests otherwise.

It’s a shame to ruin a good meal with such poor service and response. They should do better - it’s not hard to be clear about prices. We ultimately felt we had been taken...

Food was good but service was 50% beyond-the-roof rude (by owner/chef) and 50% sweet and kind (by waitress).

We tried to order one steak and some appetizers (we weren’t super hungry) and was rudely and forcefully demanded by the owner (I assume, also the guy who cooks the steak) to order two steaks.

We explained patiently that we have a small appetite and will order wine/other dishes, but the owner told us that they are only opened three months a year and they tried to make as much money as possible so it’s better for us to order two steaks???

Also shocking to hear that they had to turned down a table of guests who made an appointment in advance because the table before them ordered a 2000 euro bottle of wine. It’s one thing to think about making money this way and another thing to say it out loud in front of your customers.

Food was good though, to be fair. But unless you were gonna shred 100 euro pp or order some 2000 euro wine, expect shitty service...

I've been to this place several times two years ago and it was fantastic. This time things went completely wrong. As I understood the restaurant changed its owners and this explains a lot. We (a group of 7) ordered several types of meat including their flagship (EUR 110) matured cote de boeuf. We've been negatively surprised by the low quality of meat (most of the pieces were chewy) and returned back to the kitchen one entrecote as it was a complete disaster. Receiving the bill we noticed that they have not removed this entrecote and refused to do that even after our complaints. The chef (or the owner, whoever) was rude and told us that he does not care about our complaints as the other guests in the restaurant were happy with his meat (let me doubt)

Worst place in 3 valleys. Do not waste your...

We had a wonderful early lunch -12:30 was empty. But by 14h very busy…. Everything was wonderful -from service to food! We tried the flank, sirloin and rib-eye (entrecôte). We all preferred the rib-eye, but all were delicious. Asian cod was such superb flavours. Foie gras was also fab. Desserts - we liked the hot chocolate mousse (nearly a fondant) combined with the orange confie dessert. Wonderful. Expensive but worth it!
