La Spatule — Restaurant in Albertville

Rude and unwelcoming: Having read other reviews of customers being told off simply for trying each other's dishes, I wasn't sure what to expect. Upon entering and seeing most of the restaurant empty, we sat down at an empty table. Big mistake apparently. Received a lecture about how to behave when entering a restaurant and then when the waiter found out we were English, was told that this behaviour was typical of our race. Instead of a warm welcome and the promise of good food, we got rudeness and  racial stereotyping. Can't comment on the food as we didn't get that far. Menu seemed very limited: apart from burgers and fondu, only 2 other...

I'm highly dissatisfied with this place. The prices are very high (simple pizza starting at €14), the products were low quality and we didn't feel well afterwards. On top of that, we were told by the staff that every person at the table has to order a meal, as there is a 'no sharing policy'!!! Only two out of the three of us wanted to eat and the waitress mercifully made an exception (the place was almost empty) but to me that qualifies as a 'tourist trap'. Strongly discouraging from going to La Sptule, where I was lured by it's high...

Apres une excellent expérience en 2024, malheureusement le propriétaire a changé et se garde bien de le dire, en conservant la carte du succès de l’an dernier sans en conserver la cuisine et l’ambiance. Une raclette « à volonté » a 200g/pers (comprenez donc « à volonté » par « le fromage coule en continu » d’après les dires de la serveuse suite à nos remarques sur la carte mensongère.) La charcuterie sortie tout droit d’un plateau bas de gamme de supermarchés, un appareil pas du tout adapté, et l’arrivée d’un fond de croûte de raclette soit-disant pour 3 personnes ont eu raison de notre patience et quand nous avons fait la remarque, on nous a proposé de partir si nous n’étions pas contents. N’ayant rien consommé ni même touché, c’est ce que nous avons fait, estimant qu’on se fichait de nous. La palme reviendra au gérant menaçant qui nous a poursuivis alors que nous rentrions chez nous, hors de lui, estimant qu’on devait payer et consommer, parce que le fromage à volonté, ça n’existe pas. Il a promis de nous retrouver et ruiner la suite de nos vacances, heureusement il n’en fut rien mais ne gâchez...
