My first experience at the Mamie fada was excellent. I ordered a completed menu ( Entrées, plats, desserts) for amounts of 39€ (a little expensive but alright). I started pumpkin soup as the appetizer followed by beef filet as the main dish, and omelette norvegienne flambée as a dessert. The soup was awesome, the most delicious pumpkin soup that I have tried. The beef filet (well done) was good as well. For the omelette norvegienne, I expected to have a fire on it in front of me but it was not the case. I also ordered crémant de Loire brut and a glass of red wine. The crémant was ok but the red wine was not good as I expected. In addition, all staffs were cool and helpful. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere with a nice view of the river, chateau d'Angers, and the cathedral of Angers. In general, I strongly recommend the resturant to everyone who wants to have a new taste and experience.

We had 2 visits to Mamie Fada on a 4-day trip in Angers. Our first visit was so good we decided to come back. Tasty French food and reasonable prices and no reservation needed. Staff super friendly, particularly the waiter we had over both evenings. One unfortunate point was that on our second trip the fish was undercooked and raw in the middle. They quickly replaced it when pointed out though. We wish we could have tried their fondue, but sadly they don’t do it on Sundays! Overall, loved Mamie Fada’s and would happily dine here again. P.s. get the choc caramel desert, it’s insane!!

Beaucoup de belles surprises. La réservation dans ce restaurant est top, et rassurante avec le système de SMS de confirmation pas de mauvaises surprises pour le restaurateur comme pour le client. Le service est super, très pro et agréable de l'accueil au départ. Les produits sont bons et biens présentés. La décoration est délicieuse et tendance on a du mal à comprendre l'idée étrange de ce nom "mamie fada" pour un établissement aussi joli. La salle du haut est victime de son succès, beaucoup de monde, un brouhaha s'installe rapidement. C'est très certainement ce qui me laisse sur ma faim, installés sur une table pour deux à trois face à un "poteau" le choix des planches à la carte était donc le plus indiqué pour ce dîner découverte entre amis, être installé sur "la chaise ajoutée" fait que tu passes ta soirée a avoir l'impression de gêner le passage de la salle et des clients, ce qui forcément enlève singulièrement du plaisir. Dans un aussi joli restaurant aux tarifs convenables mais bien au-dessus d'une brasserie, on espère passer une soirée détente et plaisir. Plaisir raté de ne pas avoir pu tenter autre chose que les planches du coup. Je renterai d'ajouter une étoile à mon prochain passage.
