This is by far the best restaurant in Ares, I highly recommend it! The surroundings are beautiful, you'll be sitting in a little harbour which is super traditional and not very built up. This fisherman's huts and fairy lights with view on the sea and the sunset... dreamy! For the food you can expect fresh fish, shellfish, oysters and delicious desserts. However what sets it apart is really the staff. They're incredibly friendly and the atmosphere is really relaxed and friendly. They also deal with issues in such a fast and professional and friendly way. We sat down and about 15min into dinner a storm started. Even though it’s 3,5 years ago, I would like to thank the personnel. Coming straight out of the hospital due to a nasty surfing accident at 10PM, my son and I only had 30 minutes to have something to eat before the taxi would come. Not only did we get one of the best tables, they were extremely helpful and suggested we’d order the tuna as that could be served quickly. The patron even offered to charge my phone. La cuisine, rien à redire : les produits sont frais, très bien préparés et assaisonnés, on mange à sa faim... Le cadre est magique, surtout le soir au coucher du soleil. Les prix sont corrects, ni accessibles ni excessifs. Par contre le service est CATASTROPHIQUE. Au bout de 1h10 d’attente, un serveur vient nous voir pour nous dire qu’il n’a pas assez de turbos pour honorer notre commande. Bizarre quand même, aussi longtemps après (peut-être un habitué arrivé après nous ?...). Après 1h25 d’attente, nos plats finissent par arriver (apparemment le simple mais efficace « désolé pour l’attente » était en option), encore obligés d’attendre un peu plus pour avoir de l’eau mais on n’était plus à ça près. Pourtant le personnel ne m’a pas semblé en sous-effectif ou particulièrement débordé. Comble du comble, en arrivant au comptoir pour régler, un serveur nous demande si ça nous a plu, nous répondons que c’était excellent mais que ça pouvait l’être vu l’attente. Celui-ci hausse les épaules, là encore pas la moindre excuse mais plutôt un sourire narquois du local qui s’en fout royalement parce qu’il y aura toujours des touristes pour venir.
