Le Surf Café — Restaurant in Arcachon

Very rude staff. To a point I never experienced before. I went there 2 time recently, first time when I was away a waiter insulted my friend because she was asking for her meal to be replace since it was all burned. When we ask for drinks, I had to pick another drink 4 times because they didn't have basic ingredients to make this common drinks ( nothing fancy ). Second time, the manager was literally fighting with a waiter and cried in front of us. We were all embarrassed and decided to go at a table instead of sitting at the bar. That time as well, they didn't had vodka, or anything, couldn't do any cocktail or not even a Monaco... same stuff again. We got some straight jack honey, and they pour such a little amount that we had to take a double.. I paid the price of the bottle just for this drink...

Well, I have to give 1 star... I will say, the place look nice at least... Pool tables would have been great. We didn't have a good time and I will not...

On a été au Surf Café avec ma femme enceinte de 37 semaines (on voit très bien son ventre, impossible de se douter de sa situation) et notre fille de 2 ans. Commandé 3 plats + une salade. Ma femme a demandé un jus de citron pressé, puisqu'il a plu beaucoup ce jour-ci + le gros vent, et elle était sur le point de tomber malade. Elle a expliqué sa situation (besoin d'un petit coup de boost, vitamine C et tout ça). La serveuse lui a dit que ça n'allait pas être possible, en disant que les citrons c'était que pour les cocktails. Ma femme a alors proposé de payer le prix d'un cocktail pour un verre de jus d'un seul citron, elle a demandé la serveuse de se renseigner auprès du barman si il accepterait de le faire à titre exceptionnel. La serveuse a dit qu'elle savait que ce n'était pas possible et a proposé du sirop de citron (ça n'a rien à voir au niveau de rapport en vitamines...). Bref, ayant utilisé tous les arguments, en rappelant qu'elle était enceinte, ayant demandé de faire un geste, ma femme a laissé tomber. Elle a très mal vécu ça. Franchement, c'est un manque total d'empathie, de compréhension et de gentillesse. On a été dégoutés, ambiance de la soirée cassée... Si vous cherchez un endroit chaleureux, évitez...

Bar for young people who don't expect much. Food is bar food, too expensive for the quality; staff is friendly but slow; music inside is way too loud and only for young party people who don't care about their ears and like to scream at each other. Patio is full of cigarette smoke so not suitable for eating. Beer glasses taste of soap. Still, it is clean and if this is what you expect it is...
